In standard leagues too. Wallace IMO has gone from "avoid" in 2013, to "target" in 2014. In all formats. He's definitely becoming a buy low. If they use him like a Percy Harvin where he is getting all sorts of touches he's going to have a good year in PPR leagues.
I think so, too, because many people are going to shy away from him due to the bust factor last year. He's definitely becoming a buy low.
Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
Dolphins coach Joe Philbin believes Mike Wallace has had a "really good offseason program."
Per reporter Andrew Abramson, Wallace was "usually the last one off the field" in spring practice. It's nice to see an actually established player be the subject of so many offseason puff pieces. Words and performances from pad-less practices typically mean very little once teams actually start gearing up for the season in training camp, but it's clear Wallace has been energized by the Dolphins' regime change at offensive coordinator. Bill Lazor seems to have a much firmer grip on Wallace's strengths than his clueless predecessor Mike Sherman.

Window closing fast. Already 6.10 on FFC, climbing 2.5 rounds in the past 30 days. He'll be ADP mid-5th by the time August rolls around.I like him as a buy low. It's the typical breakout situation, where a guy underperforms high expectations and drops too much the following year.
If you can grab him in 7, as a WR3, I think you're very happy.
@adamlevitan 19m
Under Chip Kelly/Lazor/Shurmur, DeSean Jackson posted a 65.0% catch rate. Had a 52.5% catch rate in previous five seasons.
@adamlevitan 15m
Similar speedster Mike Wallace has a career 56.4% catch rate. With Lazor now his OC, expect that to rise sharply. Undervalued.
Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
Mike Wallace expects to see a lot of Darrelle Revis in Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Patriots.
It remains to be seen whether the Patriots will task Revis with shadowing Wallace, but we'd imagine they will, especially with Brandon Browner suspended the first four games. They'll let Logan Ryan or Alfonzo Dennard handle Brian Hartline. While we like Wallace to bounce back this season in a far more creative offense under OC Bill Lazor, he's more WR3/4 than WR2/3 this week.

I've always liked Wallace, but passed on him in the draft this year. (Have Calvin and D.Thomas)Note to sharks: Week 1 is brutal but hope if you don't own Wallace that you can find a hurt owner come week 2 because the schedule gets a lot easier for Miami. Look for Wallace and Tannehill to be easy buy low types. Tannehill could be on the WW in some redraft leagues.
Nice move. I'm a believer as well. I traded Kendall Wright for him. I see a serious chip on Wallace's shoulder this year.I've always liked Wallace, but passed on him in the draft this year. So, yesterday an owner drops Wallace and L.Miller - guess he didn't want any Dolphins![]()
So, I drop Cooks from NO who was my 11th rounder and grabbed Wallace as my WR3.![]()
Hello troll. Please skip to 2:15 http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000390975/Week-1-Patriots-vs-DolphinsLazy and heartless
Mike Wallace caught 5-of-12 targets for 74 yards and added a 12-yard rushing attempt in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.
The usage and targeting were nice to see, but Ryan Tannehill frequently misfired on throws to Wallace, particularly at the intermediate level. Still, with at least 80 total yards and/or a touchdown in each of Miami's first three games, Wallace continues to pay serious fantasy dividends for drafters who bought him at a lowered ADP. He'll be a rock-solid WR2 against the Raiders in Week 4.

I can't see why you would think the O would be lights out - maybe improve w/ the year of practice and Moreno addition but they are still a plodding offense. It's been great watching and owning Wallace this year - but this Tannehill thing worries me. I really thought this offense would be lights out blazing, and as well as Wallace has done (right now he is no. 12 in a 0.5 ppr league for me) it's frustrating thinking of the chances missed.
They have Oakland coming up - that sounds like a great matchup but you know what, Oak is just 28th in FFPA vs WR so far. And then there is a bye, where there could be a QB change if Tanny does not deliver.
Anyone recall how Wallace has played with Moore? Is this a time to move him, or does this get better, or stays steady, or get worse, thoughts?
I always thought moore was ok. Don't think this really changes much for wallace imo. I don't understand the qb change though. What exactly is a plodding offense?? FWIW, they are 5th in the NFL in plays per game. So they appear to be quite the opposite of plodding. Last year they were 25th, which seems much more fitting for the plodding label...I can't see why you would think the O would be lights out - maybe improve w/ the year of practice and Moreno addition but they are still a plodding offense.Wallace has blazing speed and runs good routes but has mediocre hands and is not a ball hawk (like AB who replaced him). You need to be accurate to get him the ball or run the bubble screens and short routes. The precision required there is harder than it looks from where I sit.
Yeah as long as Moore targets Wallace like Tannehill is as his #1, I wouldnt be worried about it either. It would almost certainly lead to Wallace catching more bombs.Wallace hasn't ever played with Moore. He's only been there since last year and Tannehill hasn't missed any games. Anyway, Wallace's YPR (12.4) can't really get much worse with Moore. Personally, I'm not that worried about Tannehill losing his job. I mean, Philbin is going to be grasping at anything to try to save his job, but I doubt Moore gives them a better chance to win. It's a new system. I think everyone will get better in it as time goes on. I would not sell Wallace. If he's WR12 without the deep balls, just think what he'll be when they finally connect on a couple bombs...
Mike Wallace says he talked to OC Bill Lazor about calling more deep balls.
According to Lazor via Wallace, "They will come." Wallace says the Dolphins have worked more on the deep pass this week than they have since training camp. Wallace isn't the problem. Ryan Tannehill simply is horrible at throwing the deep ball. Over the last two seasons, Tannehill has completed just 20-of-79 passes that traveled 20-plus yards through the air for 660 yards, four touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Those numbers are near the bottom of the league.

Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
Speaking Tuesday, Mike Wallace expressed frustration with the Dolphins' offense.
"Our offense was (expletive)," Wallace said of Miami's Sunday performance. When asked if he was encouraged by his 50-yard reception against the Jaguars, Wallace said that he was not. "Thats what I do. Im built for that. Im not really excited about it." Asked specifically if he was upset by the Dolphins' lack of deep balls, Wallace responded "I run the plays they call." Wallace is again being under-utilized, but this year it's more because of Ryan Tannehill's disastrous downfield accuracy than Miami's play-calling. The good news is that Wallace has scored in 5-of-7 games. He's a clear top-20 receiver with WR1 upside.

Wow..I would have definitely wanted more back than that. Extra PPR for TEs?Just traded Wallace for Dwayne Allen. I just can't hope Wallace keeps getting a td each week to get him to double digits.
I have Luck, so it made sense.
I also have D.Thomas and Calvin at WR, so Wallace would have been on my bench soon with no flex spot.
Agreed, Allen has the same concern as a TD dependent player. I guess it's more likely for him to score on the better offense, though...The Wallace owner in my league is deep at WR so I'd been talking to him about trading Ingram or Bradshaw for him (I also have Murray and lacy...)Wow..I would have definitely wanted more back than that. Doesn't look like it. He put his league in his sig. It is a 10 team league w/start 2WR and no flex. No offense, but that's messed up. I play in 16 team leagues with more roster spots than that. You couldn't pay me to play in that league.ChuckLiddell said:Wow..I would have definitely wanted more back than that. Extra PPR for TEs?BigDave said:Just traded Wallace for Dwayne Allen. What a troll. Get over it, dude. Earlier you tried to claim he was lazy and heartless, but he clearly cares or else he wouldn't say anything and would just take the paycheck. I've also seen him initiate contact on many occasions this year rather than run out of bounds. He's fighting for yards which is pretty much the opposite of lazy and heartless. Go troll elsewhere.Dude will never change. Getting rid of him was the best thing the Steelers ever did.Rotoworld:

Mike Wallace caught 5-of-7 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.
Wallace was expected to get erased with Darrelle Revis anchoring the Patriots' secondary, but instead drew lots of undrafted rookie Malcolm Butler. It was Butler whom Wallace smoked for his 32-yard touchdown in the second quarter, making a circus catch in the end zone. Astoundingly, the 100-yard day was the first of the $60 million receiver's season. He'll remain a mid-range WR2 for the fantasy finals against the Vikings.

Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
Mike Wallace was held catch-less on one target in the Dolphins' Week 17 loss to the Jets.
Wallace appeared to be benched in the third quarter of Sunday's game, for unknown reasons. On Sunday afternoon, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported Wallace was benched for "attitude problems." Nevertheless, Wallace's first season under OC Bill Lazor was a success. He showed top-notch red-zone skills, securing a career-high 10 touchdown passes and catching 67 balls for 862 yards. Ryan Tannehill's deep-ball limitations curb Wallace's upside, but he will continue to be an every-week fantasy WR2/3 in 2015 assuming the Fins don't upgrade the wide receiver position. And they have more pressing needs elsewhere. Wallace turned 28 in August and should have at least two quality seasons left.

Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports Mike Wallace was benched in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Jets for quitting on the team.
Wallace literally quit. After Charles Clay scored a touchdown late in the second quarter, Wallace reportedly "came off the field and told Joe Philbin he no longer wanted to play in the game." Understandably, Wallace's teammates were "very displeased" with Wallace's actions, and he spent the second half sitting on the bench with no one around him. Wallace was a largely effective wide receiver in 2014, particularly in the red zone, but it's now fair to question whether he'll be back with the Dolphins in 2015. He is owed $9.9 million in salary and bonuses.
