**Bears at Lions** Thanksgiving 12:30 (-9.5, 47.5) (2 Viewers)

Line has dropped consecutive days

10.5 > 10 > 9.5
With the injury situation it makes sense. But in the NFL 9.5 is still a pretty big spread, KC vs Raiders is the only one of the 16 games set higher.

Detroit is 9-2 vs against the spread this year (8 of the last 9), which is the best in the NFL.

Last 3 games they were favored by more than 4:
  • -12.5 won by 38
  • -14.0 won by 46
  • -7.0 won by 18

This is the only game for me to watch. Would love an upset but I just don't see it happening. Lions offense will just keep coming at you over and over and over. The only way to stop the Lions is to outscore them or somehow get behind the best offensive line in football. Divisional games can be crazy, so if there are some old school Goff brainfarts the Bears might have a chance.

In the end though the Lions are just too much. The Bears don't have the offensive talent developed enough at this point to match w Detroit but they have a tough defense that could cause some problems.

Lions 31
Bears 23

Gibbs and St Brown go off. Bears stutter on offense too much. Boo.

Give me the OVER. The real "Big D" are missing a lot, Chicago should actually score some points. And you know Campbell is going to showcase their knee-cap biting abilities all day long. Dude is hell-bent on making statements. Petal to the metal. I see points in this one and would expect the line to rise tomorrow, as the bloodies kick in before the kick.

Both Montgomery and St Brown are expected to play.

Interesting trend is Detroit pitching three straight 2H shutouts.

Outscored the Titans, Texans, Jags and Colts 70-0 in the second half this year

We should hang a 2024 AFC South Champion banner tomorrow

(actually, GB and MIN also went 4-0 this year)

14-2 for the NFC North v AFC South this year

Spread feels too high to me. Bears are playing everyone right to the end, and I think this will be no different.

I think this is a Jahmyr Gibbs game. The Bears biggest defensive weakness is RBs out of the backfield, and that's where Gibbs is really scary. For the Bears, I'll double down on my rankings call, and say Rome Odunze hits this week, against a very banged up CB group.

Ultimately, I feel silly picking against the Lions as they've really got it going right now, but I think the Bears can at least give them a scare.

Bears-23

Hope Lions wearing old school jerseys. Brings me back to Chris Spielman and Herman Moore. Even a little Scott Mitchell. Ha ha

Lions Thanksgiving Day record for points is 55 - versus the Bears in 1997.

Barry ran for 167 & 3 TDs that day.

That also happens to be the club record for most points in a game.

#2 and #3 on the franchise list is the 52 they scored in TEN & JAX.
