So, after 5 weeks, who are some of the best and worst additions to teams? I am talking football purposes, not fantasy.

I know it's early but right now you are starting to get a good idea of how people are working out.

Some good ones:

Darren Sproles NO

Willis McGahee DEN

Matt Hasselbeck TEN

Not so good:

Ray Edwards ATL

Kevin Kolb ARI

The Bears pick ups of Roy Williams and Marion Barber look to be just what the doctor ordered for an anemic offense. :excited:

Not so good:

Roy Williams CHI

Tarvaris Jackson SEA

Chad OchoCinco NE
Not really. Did pretty well the last 2 games and ultimately he's just a body in there to take abuse while the line learns the game.
Atlanta was his only good game statwise and they seem to be making everyone look like superstars (giving up 275 passing yds per game)And they're paying him an awful lot of money to be a body (8M)

:goodposting: A QB doing well against Atlanta just means he is above middle school level.

Sounds like a small pickup, but Legadu Nannee has been responsible for at least two of the Panthers losses with his drops.

I'm not trying to make him out as a net positive, but there were a lot more factors to poor stats than just him in the first 2 games, especially OL play (2 rookies, 2 second year players and a 3rd iirc). He was doing fairly well (minus the awful INT and being too stupid to slide on 1st down) until he got hurt today. The money isn't an issue. He signed a 2 year deal, that's a temporary signing. Paul Allen can afford it and TJ doesn't negatively affect the cap. He's a completely neutral add. I don't think Whitehurst would be any better or worse. He's an awful QB, but as far as the Seahawks go as a rebuilding team, he's not a negative. The team doesn't need a rookie QB in there taking the lumps until there's a team around him worth the effort. Next season they'll have the QB that Pete's regime will be judged for, and he'll step into a young team with experience.
