Best Frozen Chicken Wings? (3 Viewers)

I am going to make wings this weekend in the air fryer.  Looking for a recommendation for good PLAIN frozen wings.  I will sauce them myself.   Tried the big bag from costco and was kind of disappointed.  I read that Gordon's food service has good ones?

Any recommendations?   I do not have a Sam's Club membership to that's out.   Live in Michigan so Meijer, Trader Joes, Kroger, Walmart, Gordon's(as mentioned) are options

HELP!

Hmmm. I like the Costco ones. You gotta hit the right spot cooking them - too long and they shrink to almost nothing.

Air fryer for frozen wings is better than half the wing places I order from.

Wife made me some TGI Fridays frozen wings recently; gotta be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. She made them in two batches, she didn't time the first batch right, but the second batch was 💰

I just got an air fryer and made them in it once.  I remember reading something about don't be surprised if it sets off "your smoke alarm" on some of the preliminary research I was doing.  So when my wife turned on the stove it was sitting on and it started melting I thought it always normal until I saw a puddle of liquid in the back of it.  Doh!

I usually buy frozen ones if looking for something quick and good to throw on the air fryer. I refuse to buy them at wing restaurants because they've got no meat on them.

Lot of meat on these. They've also got the sections 4-8lb bag available but a lot less meaty.
Walmart brand?  really?   Always suspect of store brands...but you're vouching here?  Hmm..I might look up some reviews.

ETA:  Reviews I read, from your link, turned me off.

Yep. Been eating them several times a week for years on the air fryer. Meatier and turn out better than anything I've had in a restaurant.

I prefer them to other stores because they have a lot of meat to them and I prefer drummettes.

The quality is going to be how you cook them. One bag of frozen wings isn't going to be "better" than another.

The 3 or 4 lb or whatever bag from Kroeger's is pretty good. The wings are huge and they sell at a reasonable price.
Yeah I have used the Kroger brand but I don’t really care for air frying them.  I think we’ve had this thread several times.  I’m sure they’re fine if you’re doing a 6-12 wing snack but trying to do a whole bag of wings for a family of 5 takes multiple rounds.  I usually end up deep frying them which takes multiple rounds as well but I think it’s faster than the air fryer

Is there a definition for "minimally processed"? Because that sounds ominous.
Plucked

Gutted

Wash in chlorinated water

Submerge in brine to inflate sales weight

Remove wings from carcass.

Freeze

Package

Transport to final sales destination

Profit

Do they pluck them before or after they cut their heads off? I assume after, but I'm wrong a lot.

I like the frozen Tyson honey bbq wings. They are obviously sauced and seasoned already but pretty damn good.

Ok well might be worth a shot.  Don't totally agree that it is how you cook them and all frozen wings are the same however.  And I prefer drumettes as well..

make sure you buy winglets and not wings.  make sure you buy fresh and not frozen.  also, can you list a roster of all supermarkets near your area in Michigan?

Since Costco has a wide variety of products, it's normal for some to be better and some not, depending on your tastes and what you are looking for.
