Unfortunately it's an introduction to an AC/DC song.

Great songs, but the Stones just tend to jump right in with very little intro. Midnight Rambler is probably the exception. That has a great intro.AC/DC is not my cup of tea, but they are the masters of the intro. Don't think there's any better for the masses.
ETA: 'cept maybe the Stones
Can't you hear me Knockin' ... already mentioned
Brown Sugar
Sympathy
Midnight Rambler ... my favorite

Rush doesn't count as music. And two from the Trio from up north...
YYZ - Rush - The intro that Neil Peart plays at the beginning of the song is Morse Code for Y-Y-Z the Airport Code for Pearson Int'l Airport in Toronto.
Countdown - Rush - I love the commentary from the Kennedy Space Center Public Affairs Officer leading up to the initial launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia.
Too good?Rush doesn't count as music. And two from the Trio from up north...

Great intro. But a quick correction. In 1966 on a song called For No One on Revolver, Alan Civil played a French Horn solo for the Beatles.- You Can't Always Get What You Want - Rolling Stones (might be the only rock song ever to feature a French Horn)
That's actually why I like California Girls. It's just long enough. If it goes on any longer, it's too long. As it is, it's just enough. Pulls you in, then gets going with the song. This is quickly becoming the "songs which take for####ingever to get to the point" thread

even the haters have to admit this is moving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDkBzkA9L4sU2-Where the Streets Have No Name
Metal bands have some of the best intros. Sometimes the rest of the song isn't quite up there, but they know how to make an entrance.bcdjr1 said:
Nice...my alarm clock toneAlways been partial to Israel K's brief intro to Somewhere over the Rainbow. So basic but fits the song mood. I saw him once by total happenstance. The intro was much longer live. But this is the only one I could find on youtube.

Too bad he kicked the bucket from weight. I had never even heard of him when I saw him perform. Sweet voice.
