I loved you back in the 80s on NBC. have enjoyed your coverage of MLB in the 90s, enjoyed your late show but lately you have worn out your welcome. You are not the young up and coming announcer like you were 30 years ago. You're a 61 year old man who is bitter about a lot of things, I can relate to that somewhat but I'm sick of your little comments Bob.

How exactly would banning shotguns reduce crime? They banned assault weapons and that had no impact.

He just seems out of place, he is always AT the game which I don't understand, he's not part of the booth or anything on the sidelines, no wonder he chimed in about the Redskins, he has too much time on his hands and he's bored, he's above the position NBC has him in. He adds nothing to the viewing experience of the game, not anymore anyways. I used to like him a lot.

The guy's a great play by play and color man, and he's a good host. But NBC Sports has too much talent running around. They need Patrick and Costas? Too much hair spray and ego there. In general I wish they would go back to talking football and just football.

Even without the political and sociological commentary, it's become a cable and network TV practice to stop calling the game altogether.

They don't tell you who made the tackle, they don't tell you who's in the game, they don't talk down and distance - but instead it's all the drama, the personal interest stories, great zeus talk about football and what's going on in the actual game. Costas is just a symptom of a much bigger problem.
