Shining Path is one of the best posters we've ever had, and the Tinky Winky smiley honors him.

As someone who's only been around since mid November, don't you want to know who Shining Path was?Okay thanks for the information. So other than those, the others ones could go, yes?
I don't recall seeing his posts or anything like that, so it really never crossed my mind. I just figured it was some inside joke among the moderators. As someone who's only been around since mid November, don't you want to know who Shining Path was?
Your face gives me reason to complain. We out of complaints yet or no?
Wait!?!?! Thread stats (who posted how many times in a thread) are gone?
BumpThose who are working on the board updates: what browser do they recommend and use themselves for the best experience?
Why do web designers ignore IE? Is the assumption now that EVERYONE is using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari? Everyone? Really?
Web designers should not assume everyone's on "new things" every 5 years or so. Ridiculous.
Yeah, I don't want to kill anything for anyone, but I can't be having NSFW-ish pics popping up while I'm actually at work.Is there a way to turn off all media, pictures, avatars, etc? There used to be on an older version, can't find that option on this new version or the last.

log in over at invisionpower.com, click my settings and it's fairly straight forward. How do you change the notification blip to a fart as someone mentioned earlier?
This would make a perfect office prank.
Yeah, I don't want to kill anything for anyone, but I can't be having NSFW-ish pics popping up while I'm actually at work.
Edit: I guess I could work instead.
Nah, just shut em off. We're here to blather.Yeah, I don't want to kill anything for anyone, but I can't be having NSFW-ish pics popping up while I'm actually at work.

If you knew me IRL you'd really be disappointed.
I'm disappointed in how quickly you gave up on this.
I think, but don't quote me on this, if you hit show replies they load (like a page refresh) but you stay where you are. One caveat though may be if the replies are on the next page it might take you there so you might miss posts on the previous page you haven't read.I notice if I write a post and someone else posts before I hit submit, I do not see theirs show up. I have to refresh the page to see it. Old board did it automatically.
how do you "log in" over there without being a customer?log in over at invisionpower.com, click my settings and it's fairly straight forward.
WTF can't I see where to change fonts? And WTF can't I post pics?Digging this font

IE11 (most current) is in free fall and was flirting with single digit use rate as of December... Likely there now.Why do web designers ignore IE? Is the assumption now that EVERYONE is using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari? Everyone? Really?

What are people so afraid is going to get posted?I don't know if I should be shocked, amazed, or proud that no one has gone off the rails with the pic posting yet. Unless there have been some bannins I don't know about.
so we have to edit our questionable behavior, to cover for their questionable behavior?I'm guessing nudes. Plenty of people browse at work.![]()
Like Aaron says, there's plenty of boards out there that let you post pics, but of all the ones I've seen (a lot), none of them ever get inundated with pics of cocks and boobs and ######s. Also a simple checkbox in the user profile allowing individuals to turn off images would solve that problem anyhow.I'm guessing nudes. Plenty of people browse at work.![]()
so, you are advocating an image toggle?Like Aaron says, there's plenty of boards out there that let you post pics, but of all the ones I've seen (a lot), none of them ever get inundated with pics of cocks and boobs and ######s. Yes. Id probably use it while at work too. If the software doesn't support a toggle, they probably should keep images turned off.so, you are advocating an image toggle?
at least we are clear on the subject. you will prolly have to post this again for the crew on the next few pages.Yes. If probably use it while at work too. If the software doesn't support a toggle, they probably should keep images turned off.
I'm on an hourly schedule.at least we are clear on the subject. you will prolly have to post this again for the crew on the next few pages.
It's not very attentive to users though. Hey our hamster wheel is broken and we don't care to fix but why don't you jump over to another tab, maybe another browser, type out a string and see how it goes. Not troublesome at all.As for search functions ... some message boards I belong to just punt searching and just let Google be their de facto search tool. I've gotten used to that, and prefer that to any board-based search function. But, we'll see.
Right. The quality of TSP will be harmed by this, just watch.I'm sure I'll get used to it but I imagine this being a hassle during game day threads with the constant loading and trying to quote someone and get back to where you were. It seems like it takes a bit longer to load each page then before.
Not possible, its at rock bottom.Right. The quality of TSP will be harmed by this, just watch.
Go see FFT for a glimpse of the future, it can get worse. Not possible, its at rock bottom.
Yea you have to click the star or circle to the left now. A nuisance but the least annoying of the new changes. So when you click on a thread, it doesn't take you to the last post you read? It takes you to the first page every time? Deal breaker unless I'm missing something.
