Breaking Bad on AMC (2 Viewers)

This isn't very complicated and need not cause any anger.Landry is Landry and that's that. It might be mildly annoying for those that haven't seen FNL, but for those that have, he's just Landry and they know why. Some folks put up with a little annoyance and in return, we will happily clarify who Landry is for as long as the question gets asked. Also, we won't say stupid things like "How do you not know who Landry is?". (though, of course, we'll strongly recommend you watch FNL)Just please don't ask me to call that cold-blooded child murder "Todd".
Seriously. Is there a worse name in the history of names than Todd? (Apologies to all Todds) Todd. WTF is that?

Fair enough, this thread is become pretty pointless now anyway. However, it keeps me coming back because I am an admitted addict to the show!

Ah, now I remember, Billy Riggins was on 'Parenthood', you know the show starring "Coach", "Wallace", and "Nathan Fisher" (for a reversal, that's "Dexter's" straight brother), and produced by "Opie".

I have a great idea, why don't we just refer to every major/new charactor on BB to their most previous role. That will really turn this thread into a :tfp:
I think Hal and Hyper Guy from "The Price is Right" still need McPike's business sense. I don't think Hyper Guy has grown enough to handle what needs to be done.

Nate or Nathaniel.
Good call. I prefer Nate.
:suds: Right there with The Wire for best show ever done, imo.
Careful now. I believe someone dropped a big font, all caps complaint about ranking shows in here.I agree though, 6FU was wonderful. I wouldn't go quite that high, but I'd put in that 4-7 range somewhere.

I think things are going to heat up at breakfast this next week when Hal and Martha Bullock get into it over the finances and money laundring, all while Tim is munching on a bowl of Raisin Bran. Scott Quittman is definitely going to struggle to hold things together after Landry pull the trigger on that kid. I wonder if Shadow Man will be able to calm the team with Hal being such a loose cannon these days...or else Phil Baker may not be too far behind on their trail.

Nobody saw FNL? Well it was on network television for five seasons and Kyle Chandler won the best lead actor in a drama Emmy last year for it, so at least somebody was watching.

ETA: In fact, the first two seasons had double the ratings that BB has right now. And considering the center of the show is a high school football program, it stands to reason that people here might have seen the show.
Sad... you should go camping or something. I kid, I kid.

Good one, Corky.ETA: And coincidentally, I spent last Wed-Fri camping in the Blue Ridge.

It looks like somebody just wasted a bunch of time on IMDB.....

And please when referring to Hector Salamanca please don't call him Tio. I prefer Antonio Nappa or Alberto The Shadow.

My only original point was that Landry's cultural icon status is not equivalent to Ed O'Neill.
Take it up with MT. He made that comparison. I think he was referring to the concept though and not actually trying to equate the two.
I used Al Bundy as an example precisely because he's well known. If I'd said it's like referring to [some character nobody's familiar with] as [some other character nobody's familiar with], it probably wouldn't have been very helpful.

I actually use "Todd" whenever I order food or something and the person asks for my name. I don't want to have to repeat "Maurile" several times and then spell it out. I'll go with something common, something monosyllabic. And I liked the Todd character in Beavis & Butthead.

If your name is Todd and you're on TV, apparently you're up to no good.

I guess I can't be too pissed...except at the fact that no one here apparently watches Sons of Anarchy and no body else recognized that one of the train engineers was Cammy Hayes. :(

That was a great catch, btw. I didn't make the connection.I think I'm about the only person in the world that didn't hate Ireland. We got a whole season of Trixie out of the deal.

Ireland wasn't THAT bad (liked the Irish-ized intro), but it did get dull after a while.

If your name is Todd it might as well be Scott. Also, if your name is Scott it might as well be Todd

I do the same with my last name. It's a little much for some people to get over the phone, so when I make reservations etc I use "Bird" in honor of that dude that was in that McDonald's commercial with the guy from Space Jam. :bag: Sorry. Couldn't resist.Back to regularly scheduled programming: Guesses on number of episodes before someone from the White family is dead? I'm going with two. I think we see a big event like that by episode 7. Then there's one more to set things in motion as a result of the death and we get a cliffhanger ending heading into the last set of episodes.Alternatively, maybe we'll see a twist and Marie will end up killed/injured as a result of something Walt does and Hank goes into overdrive.

I think I've blocked out the whole Ireland saga.
:lmao: and the show had so much promise...it almost hurts for me to watch now unless I'm in the mood for a good comedy.
Yep. First two seasons were great. I'm still holding out some hope because of that, but I'm not entirely optimistic.

I can see Marie getting it. She's kind of nosy. Once Skyler finds out that Walt told Marie about Ted, maybe Skyler tries to get revenge by sharing details about Walt, and then Walt will have to silence her.
