Breaking Bad on AMC (1 Viewer)

And anyone who wasn't immediately hooked after that first episode of the series is not someone I want to know.
I begged my kid brother, who has very similar tastes to mine, to watch this. He was dead set on canceling Netflix streaming, but I pleaded with him not to do so until he watched this show. A couple of weeks ago, he told me he watched season 1 through the episode where (spoiler alert) Walt kills Crazy 8 in the basement and "it didn't grab [him]." He canceled Netflix the next day.

I can only assume that either a) He was so dead set on saving $9 a month that he tried NOT to like it (this wouldn't be beyond him, he's remarkably frugal and stubborn) or b) He didn't want to commit the time to the series with his new girlfriend in tow. He's had a couple of bad breakups and I think he's bound and determined to make this relationship work, no matter the cost.

I have to assume it's one of these two things because to take him at his word that he didn't really like it that much would mean I'd have to disown him as family.
I used to like your family.

Me too. That's Yams for you, though. He wasn't having it when I begged him to watch the show, he finally relented probably just to shut me up. Once he gets his mind set on something, forget it, there's no talking to him. Short of Skylar leaping out of his TV and into his bedroom and giving him a handjob and a giant platter of buffalo wings simultaneously, he wasn't going to be buying in. However, had he been watching it from Go, he'd be touting it right now to anyone that would listen.

Do you think, given the proper equipment, you could produce crystal meth?

That presumes I haven't already.

Twist: they were using the set of Breaking Bad to make meth all along. Vince is Heisenberg. Walter/Bryan is just a smoke screen
I think my favorite comment from this was when someone asked whether the whole show was an elaborate ruse by Walt to teach Jessie chemistry
:lmao:

Marble Brewery is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has had its nectar featured in AMC's addictive drama Breaking Bad on a few occasions. As Heisenberg and company gear up for the final season of everyone's favorite meth-fueled program, the Marble Brewery guys are, too, readying to say goodbye to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

In honor of the show's final run, the brewery will release "Heisenberg's Dark," an India Black Ale, and team up with @breakingbadlocations to throw a watch party or two for the final episodes.

Albuquerque based @marblebrewery will be brewing a #BreakingBad tribute beer to be featured during the run of #BreakingBad’s Final Episodes. It’s called “Heisenberg’s Dark” it’s anIndia Black Ale. Marble beer has shown up in a few scenes through the run of the series.

HFS that would be a monumentally funny ending. Almost should be an SNL skit

God I hate hashtags.

Crazy Tuco episode is on now. Walt is about to go "Heisenberg" on Tuco
Here we go.

One of the top-5 scenes of the entire series. Maybe top-3.
1. Running over the two dealers. "Run"2. End of "salud"

3. First scene of season 5 with the gun.

4. "I'm the one who knocks"

5. Crawl space ending.

I could go on. Such a great show.
Stay out of my territory.
Watching her die in season 2.

"Hang on partner...I forgot something inside."
Box cutter last scene.

That one has to be my favorite.

Now, I'm upset. I really hope Walt dies a horrible death.

Just to chime in on the BB/MM comparison - I have 2 MM episodes currently unwatched on my DVR. BB never went more than a day, and was almost always watched as close to live as I could without commercials.

Watching season 1 and he lets Hugo hang out to dry. Starting the downward slide in to sociopathy.

Such a great show.

Salud is easily my favorite scene but also a big fan of the parking lot shoot out with Hank and the twins. I also loved the tension when we were first introduced to Gus at Pollos Hermanos.

Bets on how this show ends? I'm putting my $ on Walt finally tasting his own product and going out in a blaze of glory ala Tony Montana.

That would be awesome. I would not even care if it was the skinny or fat skylar.
