I dunno, you guys - I thought this episode was fantastic. It may have been the funniest yet. Not quite sold yet on the Hank/Gomez reunion, but I'm rolling with it.

Everything else was pitch-perfect to me.

My apologies if someone has posted this thought...

While we are all focused on Jesse's gasoline pouring rage, his attempt to potentially burn down the White house, and who (or what) stops him from doing so, I think we are overlooking a huge potential effect of this:

From flash forwards, we obviously see that the White house doesn't burn to ground, but it appears that the kitchen area might have fire damage, and looks scorched.

I think there is a strong possibility that Jesse's fire, while not taking completely, does manage to do damage. The most important of which is it destroys Walt's lottery tickets with coordinates to the buried money.

Without the coordinates is Walt able to relocate the buried money? And if not, is that the driving factor to him to have to start cooking again?

Or maybe Walt does some cooking for Todd and Co. in exchange for getting someone(s) taken out.

I also noticed the "Deadwood" box set on the Shaeder's shelf. Wonder if they ever ask Skyler if she thinks she looks like that chick from the show. Oh, and I also wonder if a drug kingpin would really leave his back door unlocked.

But, mostly, I really, really, really, hope that there's a future episode of the "Better Call Saul" spinoff in which Saul resumes taking classes at the Dojo.

My only 2 issues with this episode. Minor yet they bug me for some reason.

I have never seen a cell phone that just lets anyone listen straight to voicemail as Hank did. I havent seen a pay phone or a bank of pay phones in probably 5-8 years.

I think Gomey is a mole some of the looks he was giving jessie was pretty revealing. I think the Marie/therapist scene is setting us up for something.

Great episode. Jesse is really the only one on this show that is smart enough to foil Heisenberg. He freaked a bit, but it was understandable when he saw the other guy standing there. He's put himself squarely in the crosshairs now though so it's going to be a showdown.

Plus, at this point the show is a few years behind the current date. Series starts with Walt turning 50, the dinner scene from presumably right near the end is Walt's 52nd birthday.

While I tend to agree last night didn't have the same WTF ending as most and thus seemed weaker - more about moving the chess pieces around.

But this is a testament to how great a show BB is - last night was a good episode - and it feels like less cause the other episodes are great.

No telling what Jesse thinks he can do - but I doubt he assumes he can turn Skyler. And I don;t think it's Todd either as mentioned by someone else.

Could it be Saul? What about Jesse's statement that he is going to hi Walt where he really lives (or something to the effect)?

Can last night's episode put to rest the idea that keeps getting thrown around here that Hank is somehow the one "good" character on the show?

Hank is so hell-bent on bringing down Walt that he sends Jesse into a situation that could get him killed with absolutely no concern for his safety. Hank is not a "good" character. Hank has elevated the pursuit of his goal of catching Walt above concern for other human life -- a parallel to Walt's own immorality in his affairs.

Hitting him where he really lives is a reference to one of three things:

1. The money - Jesse doesn't know where it is.

2. The family - no way hank goes along with it and considering Jesse is upset about the Brock thing still, i doubt this is what he's thinking.

3. His ego / power of Heisenberg. Only thing that makes sense and the only reason for any of the Declan / Todd stuff this year.

He's either going to tell the white guys that Walt flipped (which I doubt because that puts his family in danger as well) or he's going to appeal to walts ego somehow in an effort to get Walt killed.
