There's two dead DEA agents. They know he had millions in cash and fled. It's all over national news. Its a big story with the whole average hs teacher gets cancer and turns murdering kingpin. His picture is all over. You're using a quote from the day he got to New Hampshire but describing his appearance 6 months later. Don't ever compare this New Hampshire trip to that other one.

Even if it's a slim chance he would get recognized, from his perspective its better if Walt keeps to himself. I imagine a newcomer to such a small town would still raise questions.

Plus I imagine a drug kingpin with suspected involvement in the possible death of two DEA agents could very easily end up on a national show like America's Most Wanted. Telling Walt to lay low makes sense IMO.

I guessed way wrong on this one to begin with. I thought that the Robert Forester character had filled this little town with all of his new identity people

I did have to step away from the fictional show last night and wonder for a minute why the vacuum guy doesn't just kill Walt in that lonely cabin and then drive off with the 11M. Code amongst certain thieves I guess.

I don't think the machine gun is for the Nazis. I don't know what it's for, but I think that's less likely each week.

Who would it be for then? They killed Hank, that was the final straw that ruined his life as he knew it. It was the final nail that killed any chance at keeping his family together. In his mind at least, it was over long before then but his megalomania let him think he could fix it. They took his money, the only thing he cares about - tangible evidence of his empire. He may have severed his fatherly feelings towards Jesse, but there may be some idea of redemption by saving him, or he may be in kill-mode and want to take out the only other person that can make the blue. The top 4-5 reasons to get an M60 all point to the Nazis.

Considering Walt has never fired an M60, has no idea how to fire one, and has no chance of successfully gunning down a group of trained killers, I don't think the top reason to get one points to the Nazis.

Try watching or talking about football the same you are with this show. It should give you a general idea just how crazy you sound for taking a stand against predictions relating to someting you love.

I think Jesse is still in the meth dungeon, only 7-9 months later he basically turns into Gollum-jesse. Walt somehow finds this out and comes to rescue him. "Rescuing him" might mean offering him the ricin to end it all.

RICIN IS A HORRIBLE WAY TO ####### DIE.

I still think Walt takes it. But only as a means to override his own innate sense of self-preservation. He knows that whatever shootout he has planned is a death sentence. He doesn't want to chicken out. So he takes the ricin knowing that the alternative is just him dying in miserable pain a few days later. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Walt specifically references MIke's "no half-measures" speech when explaining why he took it.

I'll disappear you to a remote location and you'll never make contact with anyone you leave behind. A new start." Then he takes someone in, then shoots them and takes their cash. He'd never get caught... every time someone disappears, it looks like a great success. Even if he's never done it before, Walt and his barrel of money would be an easy target to start....

He doesn't have to actually do the job to appear to do the job. Either way, as Walt said, once Walt's dead the barrel of cash is the fixer's. Must be tempting when sticking that chemical poison in Walt's arm to just take him out now and take the cash. Why wait? Even if the body is found, could look like someone tying up loose ends. A nazi, a rogue fed... maybe he makes it looks like a suicide.

But he doesn't. Perhaps one of the most morally upstanding of the characters on the bad side.

This was another suspend disbelief moment for me. You would think the fixer guy would just off Walt in the cabin. There's no morally upstanding fixer guy that wouldn't just do that and roll the barrel of cash into his truck.

Yup. Or he makes plenty of money doing what he does and doesn't need the added risk that comes with murdering a famous person, which he could only avoid by effectively disposing of the body- another headache he might not want to take on.

I saw this "criticism" mentioned in several other places. I don't see it at all. It's a huge leap from what he does to killing people and disposing of their corpses. Sure he could kill Walt, and it would make sense if he did, but it also makes sense if he doesn't.

Agreed. Besides Skyler would've told Walt when she cheated on him after he got cancer. She was doing all she could to hurt him at that point and finding out Walt Jr. wasn't his kid would've devastated him.

I would be shocked if Gilligan pulled something that major out of his a** in the finale. I don't think there's any reason to think Walt Jr.'s dad is anyone other than Walt.
