Unpack something for me. The fixer tells Walt to lay low and stay in the cabin for the foreseeable future.
Why?
Even if he is getting national attention, he has a new name/license, he's not bald, he has different glasses, and he's in some podunk town 2,000 miles away from where everything went down. He could fit in around New Hampshire as anonymously as Vito did before hooking up with Johnnycakes in disgusting man-sex.
Why does the fixer even help anybody? Seems he's got the perfect business plan... "Show up at my place with all your money and everything you value. I'll disappear you to a remote location and you'll never make contact with anyone you leave behind. A new start." Then he takes someone in, then shoots them and takes their cash. He'd never get caught... every time someone disappears, it looks like a great success. Even if he's never done it before, Walt and his barrel of money would be an easy target to start....
Do you even watch the show?"Normally this is where you and I would part ways, but you're you so this is different."
Most cases are a one time fee, one time disappearance.
Did you even read my post?
He doesn't have to actually do the job to
appear to do the job. Either way, as Walt said, once Walt's dead the barrel of cash is the fixer's. Must be tempting when sticking that chemical poison in Walt's arm to just take him out now and take the cash. Why wait? Even if the body is found, could look like someone tying up loose ends. A nazi, a rogue fed... maybe he makes it looks like a suicide.
But he doesn't. Perhaps one of the most morally upstanding of the characters on the bad side.
