For me, that's where it made the jump from "great" to "HOLY F### THIS SHOW IS AMAZING!!!"when walt drove over the two dealers in the aztek, shot one in the head & commanded to jesse: "Run" was my single favorite moment

Me too. I think this is only my third time through. Feels like I’ve watched it more than that, but I haven’t. I’m less than halfway through season two.Just started a re-watch. Man, it goes dark in a hurry.
We just finished a rewatch last week. I enjoyed it much more the second time, especially Jesse.Just started a re-watch. Man, it goes dark in a hurry.
Ken didn't win that day.Walt blowing up some random #####'s BMW is great![]()
I was there for that - lived about 5 blocks away.Walt blowing up some random #####'s BMW is great![]()
It may be.Best piece of entertainment ever created.
The whole cast was on Conan last night. They said during the filming of Saul's first scene when of the crew members yelled out that he wants in on the spinoff.Watching the Sunday replay. I think this episode is the 1st of Saul. Such a great character. I've already watched this series but it has pulled me back in.
It stays good.Been on a Better Call Saul binge. The spinoff is quite good (at least through E2S7).
That dead-eyed Opie peace of ####.Todd is such an odd character in there. Just no conscience at all
What's was the consensus with him? Meth Damon, or Fat Damon? That dead-eyed Opie peace of ####.
Yeah, poor guy.Excellent.
Poor Aaron Paul's hairline keeps disappearing.
He was Meth Damon in BB, and Fat Damon in Fargo. What's was the consensus with him? Meth Damon, or Fat Damon?
Ha! That's right. Thanks. He was Meth Damon in BB, and Fat Damon in Fargo.
Well actually, he didn't turn it down. He was ready to leave, until he put two and two together and figured out that Walt poisoned Brock. Not many people would have shrugged that off and left anyway.Jesse turning down the fresh start is an all time facepalm move still
I know. He chose revenge over moving on. That doesn't work out well for him. The whole rat angle never sat well with me for him. It makes sense and was set up well in season 4. I can't criticize the show about it.. It isn't about bad writing, I just feel so bad for the character.Well actually, he didn't turn it down. Jesse never had the "Not the DEA, never them" stance that Walt always had.I know. He chose revenge over moving on. That doesn't work out well for him. I just started my re-watch recently and just finished S2. I didn't watch the show live until part 2 of the Season 5 came out. I ended up binging in a few weeks to catch up to when the last episodes started up, so there is a ton of stuff that I forgot from going too fast and only seeing it the once now.Just started a re-watch. Man, it goes dark in a hurry.
This is why I started a re-watch. Still haven't seen an episode of Better Call Saul, so I thought having BB fresh in my head would be fun to do before starting Saul.Been on a Better Call Saul binge. The spinoff is quite good (at least through E2S7).
I think what I am liking a lot more this time around is seeing Walt in a different light. I think I fell too much for the "good guy dad goes bad" idea that the show was described as. What's interesting is seeing right from the start what was lurking right at the surface and didn't need a ton of pushing to get unleashed.keep in mind i am still waiting to see the last 8 episodes.
very good show, but I have to say I am a tad disappointed in walt's arc. it is probably all about expectations, but I was waiting for a breakdown of epic proportions. the episode titled "crawlspace" was nuts and that is when I thought the crap was really going to hit the fan, but he still went back to just showing flashes of Heisenberg.
don't get me wrong- still great acting on display and some of the best episodes of a tv show I have seen in a while. loved the crawlspace episode, train heist, and any time the old guy with the bell showed up, and many others. just started the series about a month ago, and the way people were talking, I guess I was expecting more WTF??? moments.
Next to the production's beautiful use of my hometown for 20 yrs, my favorite thing about BB is how smart goes stoopit more than good goes badI think what I am liking a lot more this time around is seeing Walt in a different light. It is funny seeing Walt lay into Jesse for being stupid early on just to see him turn around and do something pretty stupid.Next to the production's beautiful use of my hometown for 20 yrs, my favorite thing about BB is how smart goes stoopit more than good goes bad
We don't know if any of the original stars are involved – please be involved, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, et al – but it will reportedly be set in the existing Breaking Bad franchise. The story is said to follow the escape of a kidnapped man on a quest for freedom.
hopefully he sets a Cinnabon on fire! Not Huell...Jesse
Over the course of five incredible seasons, Breaking Bad put its cast of characters through the wringer. But no one suffered quite like Aaron Paul‘s Jesse Pinkman, the meth-dealing loser who lost everything (and everyone) that mattered to him simply because he was unfortunate enough to enter the orbit of Walter White.
And his suffering isn’t over yet. /Film has learned that the newly announced Breaking Bad movie will be a sequel set after the events of the series finale, following Jesse as he blazes a trail away from that horrifying finale.

He committed cold-blooded, first-degree murder of an innocent man.I've always had a soft spot for Jesse. I feel he's a tortured soul. Good heart. Some bad choices, but overall a decent and big hearted person
I understand. But life isn't always black and white. Everyone in walt's business world is a criminal. There are no innocent lambs. That said, walt killing Gale was intended as an extension of self defense. They were in the process of killing him and for walt, it was kill or be killed. Jesse had to do it because walt was unable to do so. It was just a matter of time until Gus killed jesse if he hadn't of acted. But yes, Jesse is a criminal and a self admitted "bad guy". That's what makes it/him so compelling. Not all criminals are total scumbags. Jesse has a good heart but so much has happened to him. He was vulnerable and was taken advantage of by some very bad people along the way. He made his choices and has shown he is willing to accept the consequences. But I don't condemn him 100% for who he is in the end. The world wasn't very good to him. He deserves a chance to turn his life around, at least IMOHe committed cold-blooded, first-degree murder of an innocent man.
That seems to get glossed over when Jesse's character is discussed. I don't see much distinction between Jesse and Gale and Gus with the boxcutter, or Mike on this season's Better Call Saul and the German scientist.
He did, I just think he’s a sympathetic character because he was manipulated so much by Walt. He was a pompous ### early one and then went on a redemption arc. He didn’t want any of what happened after season 1 to happen, he wanted out but Walt manipulated and tricked him and led him down the path leading to everything he did. I’ll never say he’s an innocent character, but sympathetic is fair.He committed cold-blooded, first-degree murder of an innocent man.

Walt is the picture of olskool morality - so inundated with rules & reality that he becomes easily overwhelmed by flights of fancy & ego.Silver & Black said:I understand. Gale wasn't an innocent man. You don't cook meth on a grand scale like he was doing and get to keep your innocence. He was a criminal in a violent, illegal industry.Encyclopedia Brown said:He committed cold-blooded, first-degree murder of an innocent man.

Gilligan WILL direct and it will run first on Netflix. Not Huell...Jesse

we can only hopeThis whole "movie" thing is just a cover up for them filming scenes for the new crossover season of Better Call Saul, right?
