8.25 Chiefs (AwesomeAuger) select Marshawn Lynch, RB via PMI PMed RBM
Thanks. I wasn't planning on going RB early but I feel like he's one of the elite RBs and a true difference maker on offense and I am not quite sure why so many other RBs were selected before him. My team used the early rounds to focus on defense and my offense is going to be built around a strong running attack.

Offense:QB- Matthew StaffrodRB- Alfred MorrisWR- Larry FitzgeraldWR- Roddy WhiteTE- Jermichael FinleyDefense:DT: Paul Soliai MLB: James LaurinitisSo far so good. Still plenty of good CB/S/LB's left. I am screwed at DE but no interest in reaching when the drop between tiers is huge.
I think your o-line is gonna be bad. Stafford is going to spend a lot of time on his back.
I think an adequate OL can still be built. However, only a few left tackle candidates left that are barely adequate... if that.

What RBs would you have selected over him? I could see Forte and maybe Morris (although personally I prefer Morris). None of the others seem questionable to me.

Yes, and your TE isn't exactly known as a blocker, or your QB as elusive.

The only issue I see is that defenses will be able to completely stack the box against your run because you have no threats at QB/WR. When you go 3/out a lot your defense will get tired and it won't matter who you have back there.

Lynch isn't clearly better than any of the RBs selected so far except for Morris I think. However, getting Lynch two rounds or more later than them is pretty big.For my specific Chiefs team, I'd take Lynch over Morris, Charles, Forte, and probably Rice and Foster. Morris I think is a product of the system and Lynch clearly is the more talented back. Charles I don't think is built to handle the load I want to give my primary RB and doesn't fit my team's philosophy as a physical team. He's a hell of a player so that's probably splitting hairs and I admit Lynch isn't clearly better than him. However, give me Lynch 3 rounds later than Charles every time. Same thing for Forte. Forte is a good player but I got Lynch at a much better spot and Lynch fits my team's philosophy better. Rice and Foster are both closer and I'd honestly pick them over Lynch maybe I think all else being equal. The main worry I have for Rice is his past workload and for Foster maybe he's partially a product of the system.

Ok, until further notice, I will be the one to say someone is skipped. I will give everyone 1 hour until after I text them to respond with either a pick or to tell me they will be picking soon. Those who didn't give a number to me, they have 1 hour from the last pick made. Time during the week will be 8am-6pm local time.

Weekends we will go with a 4 hour clock, which will be 10am-8pm local time.

Please leave lists, and be in communication with those drafting after and before you.

Don't forget to send PM's, please say you have or have not when you make your selection.

It's still early and there are lots of good WRs left. QB was going to be a weakness for me picking this late regardless. Picking late, the most balanced approach you can take without over-emphasizing one side of the ball is building a defense and building a strong ground attack. Your WR/Spiller strategy is pretty eccentric and very risky. Your QB has great potential but is an unknown and your defense is almost non-existent.

With the 8.27 pick, the Colts select LT Jared Gaither

Definitely a disappointment with the Chargers last year, but he has the talent to be a top LT in the league. We will take the risk on him this late.

Tony Romo, QB

Vincent Jackson, WR

Jared Gaither, LT

Cameron Wake, DE

Michael Johnson, DE

Curtis Lofton, MLB

Sean Weatherspoon, OLB

Joe Haden, CB

Truly a high risk, high reward pick. I thought about Gaither at LT for the Saints but thought it was too risky.

Might as well have just selected nothing. 9 games in 2 years means you will have to draft his replacement as well.

Also his locker room rep is terrible.

I forgot I have my C already in Mike Pouncey who I think is not elite but def. in that next tier. I do need Tackles but will wait on Guards.

I don't agree with re to Morris - obviously since I drafted him. He is a ferocious with great speed into the secondary.

I really hate the product of the system arguement when it comes to RBs in this draft. I mean, who's to say we can't run the same system?

We'll see how things shake out. I'm confident I can still build a solid defense with the Browns.

Hey guys, since we have the one hour rule in effect now I was wondering if someone could just PM me the pick before my turn. I'll be at work today so I'll need a early heads up. If it's too much of a hassle and someone forgets to PM me that's fine. I live in Vancouver, Canada so I can't really text anyone.,

I'll try to help you out.

Hopefully Meecrob checks in. Normally he would be an autoskip but since he gave us a heads up about his day in India, we will give him another hour. Don't want him falling too far behind.

The other thing for me is where is the cutoff of skipping a persons second pick without waiting? If he was the 5th pick, or the 7th pick and so on. I say give him his hour but the next guy should be ready.

Personally I think he should be autoskipped. He knew he'd be gone but where's the list? No sense in waiting around if he hasn't even shown up to make his first pick after 2 hours.

Can't really argue with that either
