Meecrob Texans select Jon Beason, ILB
Explanation: Beason has been hurt but when hes healthy he is one of the best MLB's in the league. We will take the risk here to get a pro-bowl caliber player in the 11th round. Houston's 3-4 blitzing D will rely in capable press man corners and athletic linebackers and Beason helps establish that.O

QB Matt Barkley 8.29

RB Matt Forte 6.29

LT Matt Kalil 2.04

C Ryan Kalil 4.29

RG Chance Warmack 5.04

D

LE Bjoern Werner 10.29

ROLB Brian Orakpo 3.04

MLB Jon Beason 11.04

FS Michael Griffin 9.04

CB Darrelle Revis 1.29

CB Dee Milliner 7.04

I love the pick. I had no idea he was still on the board. On the other hand you have too many Matts on offense. You should run a 4-3 with Werner and Orakpo at DE.

 He's from Sweden

11.18 Cardinals select Keenan Allen, WR

I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to continue with a theme of WRs who were able to produce despite garbage QBs. Allen has good size and hands... basically has all the desirable traits that Shorts lacks. I think they can complement each other well.

Offense:

6.15 Jason Peters

7.18 Rodger Saffold

9.18 Brian De La Puente

10.15 Cecil Shorts

11.18 Keenan Allen

Defense:

1.15 Geno Atkins

2.18 Muhammad Wilkerson

3.18 Daryl Washington

4.15 Ryan Kerrigan

5.18 Brandon Carr

8.15 Star Lotulelei

Why are there so many NFL QBs named Matt?Matt Barkely

Matt Stafford

Matt Ryan

Matt Shaub

Matt Cassell

Matt Leinert

Matt Hasslebeck

Sorry for spotlighting but the Matts not picked yet all kind of suck anyway.

Will make my selection shortly, just a little busy at the moment and still have to decide between a couple of guys.

I'd argue there aren't many NFL QBs named Matt actually

11.19 Oakland Raiders Select Denarius Moore, WR.

Turns just 25 later this year and I really like him as a number two WR across from Julio with Peyton throwing him the ball. He and Julio's speed should really keep opposing defences honest and open up a lot of room underneath for the slot WR and TE, and maybe open up some things for Doug Martin.

QB - Peyton Manning

RB - Doug Martin

WR - Julio Jones

WR- Denarius Moore

OT - Jordan Gross

OG - Chris Snee

OT - Donald Penn

DE - Julius Peppers

OLB - Ahmad Brooks

CB - Prince Amukamara

CB - Aqib Talib

I was worried my corners would be terrible. There's at least one veteran I really like that's left on my board and I might as well take him while I can.

11.20 Patriots select Asante Samuel

11.23 C Stefan Wisniewski

Probably more likely to be able to find a viable guard later than a decent center, though he could play either.

With the 11.24 pick, the 49ers select Tyvon Branch, Safety

I am on my phone, so please let me know if he is gone. Probably the fastest safety in the league.

11.26 Ryan Wendell, C

Dude was a beast last year. Surprised he is still around (perhaps because he is listed as a G for some reason?). Started all 16 games and the playoffs at Center for New England, played all but six offensive snaps for them at center, including playoffs. He's not a great pass blocker, but he is PFF's best run blocking center by a large margin, and that's what I need here, since this is not a high flying offense anyway.

I'm pretty sure HellToupee's pick number was 25, not 24.

ETA: Pm sent to RBM

11.27 Bears - Brandon Mebane, DT

Pretty confident in my run D with Mebane and Taylor manning the inside.

I honestly wanted to take Kevin Burnett here, as he could keep me flexible as a 3-4 ILB or a 4-3 OLB. Of course, my liking him also made its way to my other team.............ugh haha. So, regarding the pick, my team now looks like this:

Defense:

DE - J.J. Watt

DT - Vince Wilfork

DE - Nick Fairley

ILB - Derrick Johnson

Still not sure about 3-4 or 4-3. I'm constantly evaluating the 3-4 OLBs available, 4-3 OLBs, and 4-3 ends...

CB - Devin McCourty

CB - Sam Shields

SS - TJ Ward

This is a nasty defense. You're not gonna run it on us. You'll have a tough time passing it with the pressure this line alone will generate. With a good centerfielder at FS and some more playmakers in the front 7, you may as well give up. I think this defense might legitimately be better than any actually existing in today's NFL. (One or two others in this draft I would say that about, but of course I'm biased and think mine's the best hahaha)

Offense:

QB - Jake Locker

LT - King Dunlap

C - Ryan Wendell

RT - Kelechi Osemele

Dunlap is a positive pass protector...that's the best thing I can say about him. Not a top tackle by any means, but he will keep Locker from getting killed - PFF actually has him double digit positive as a pass blocker, but he's a poor run blocker. Can't have it all in the 10th round as one of the last starting LTs taken in the whole draft. Wendell and Osemele were both road graders in the run game, so clearly I'll be bootlegging and handing it off a lot. I don't need a top RB for what I have in mind, just a guy to pound into the pile.
