Caddy Hamstring injury (Huggins time?) (1 Viewer)

Name a Great pass catching RB that can't block....
:lmao:and No.
Of course, glad I don't have to decide whether to continue to view your worthless posts just so I can see you post good info...
I make points here. You just troll around and talk about your stupid fantasy team and get mad at people when they prove you wrong.
I'm the troll.. ? Whatever you say bud... Ignore stats on, fell free to reciprocate..

Not trying to throw a wet blanket on the parade but...

I have to think that if Kareem Huggins was a better RB than Graham he would have already have ascended on the depth chart ahead of him by now...wouldn't he? I have to put my money on Graham for the time being as non-sexy as it may seem. He has shown that he can do all of the things RB's need to do to help the team win..."Mr Insurance". Notably, he can also play FB so we could see them both on the field at times.

And, keeping in mind that huggins is also nursing a groin injury of some sort. Exactly to what degree we don't know but groin injury is never something you want to see going into week 3.

It would be a stitch if the kid had a coming out party this week. And, verse the Steelers it would be awesome. Heart says "hell ya!" But mind says "no way!". Truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

These are great points, and sometimes what we want to see obscures the reality -- and that reality has been so far that it's EG who is being given the chance over Huggins. My question is, if Caddy does need to sit out a game, would the fact that the Bucs only have Chris Pressley as the other fullback mean that the team would need Graham to play the FB role?

It's Pressley's 2nd year, don't know much about him. While the reality is that Graham has experience filling in at RB, would the team need him more in his position as a FB if indeed Caddy needs to sit?

Rotoworld reported him as the #2 though after week 3 of pre-season. He just went down a bit b/c they were too afraid to use him in week 1 due to his craptastic pass blocking skills, but note that the coaches lamented that decision and wanted to involve him in week 2. Unfortunately though, he was injured. As important as pass blocking is, the best defense against the blitz is an extra receiver and a quick release, and here is where Huggins can help b/c if they leave him unaccounted for or 1 on 1 situation, it's an automatic 10+ yards through the air.

Josh Freeman is a better QB than Vince Young so they will not be able to stack the run like they did vs Chris Johnson or they will inevitably get burned.

OK, here's what we knowGraham is ahead of Huggins on the depth chartMorris has explicitly stated that Graham is "Mr Insurance" at the RB positionGraham has performed for the team in the pastAfter cutting Ward, the team brought in two RBs, Blount and Lumpkin, one of whom has shown more at the NFL level than Huggins hasThey face the toughest team in the league against the run, who have thus far completely shut down Turner and CJWhere do you see value here?
The value is in the most talented back. Given Huggins, Graham, Blound, and Lumpkin on the free agency, knowing Caddy is injured, you would pass on Huggins in favor of 2 of the others? Come on.Vs PIT, they will almost have to go with a quick RB. Graham doesn't scare anybody. He's a 30 yo career backup goaline back.Huggins is a great asset in the passing game, esp on dump off passes. I would not play him, but he's worth stashing now, unless your league is quite shallow.
I'm sorry but if Chris the Jesus Johnson was limited to 39 yards vs Pitt then I expect Huggins to eat the grass this week. No thanks.
I don't agree with this type of thinking. If player X doesn't do it, player Y cannot either. Many factors go into fantasy production. All Huggins needs is 1 dump off pass to take it the distance, which will put him on fantasy radars. Also, hamstrings linger, and Caddy is avg 2.6 yards per carry. He not only sucks, but is injury prone.Even IF he is healthy, if Huggins shows something, he'll carve out some time and become playable as Flex in deep PPR leagues at least, or not more. What happened to all the Huggins love after just 2 weeks?Realize also Huggins was injured last week, now back to full practice.
After thinking about this some more I agree with you and apologize for being unreceptive at first. You're not saying Huggins will go out and post Rb2 #s, you're saying this should provide him opportunity and if he posts some "wow" plays against a great D that could carve out more time for him in the future, and possibly lead to a changing of the guard somewhere down the line if Caddy can't improve.

Yeah, I think we were arguing a non-issue. My only point was to stash him just in case, just like people are stashing James Davis.
