NBA is the worst. However, I'm watching Twins-Blue Jays highlights and inadvertently rooting for the Blue Jays because powdered blue jerseys at least has some historical basis for the Twins, unlike the Milwaukee Brewers / Seattle Mariners blue & yellow cosplay uniforms they were wearing last night.

The Brewers wore powder blue road uniforms in the past and yellow was a secondary color.

Last year, the Red Sox were wearing yellow jerseys. I don't know if they are still doing that.

My daughter was a dancer in the local state beauty pageant earlier this month. 3 nights of preliminary competition and then the finale night. They trotted out a different past winner each night to sing it...before a dang beauty pageant...

Just stayed 2 blocks off the beach in Ft Lauderdale in an old school 2 story walk up motel. Had a kitchen although I didn't use it much
$89 for the Sun-Th rate here in the off season, I've stopped doing Air BnB almost all together, only search for hotels/motels on the major sites

Incidentally, I highly recommend reviewing all of your app notification settings and debating which ones you really need. With some obvious exceptions such as Messages, most notifications are not set up for your benefit. Instead, they benefit the app-makers who want you to spend more time on their app

I am right there with ya. My OCD doesn't allow it. Especially w/ email. I almost NEVER have any for text messages. I am down to ONE unread email, which I'll take care of while at lunch today (a fantasy football article).

I have a health-related app, though, where it won't go away.

I've heard that uninstalling/reinstalling could fix this issue, though. Give it a try.

So, then 10 minutes after i updated the ticket with my manifesto length reply I get a separate email which contains something creative like "I created ticket 123abc, did you see it?" Then 10 minutes later I get a text message saying "Hey, I created ticket 123abc, did you see it?" I reply back to the e-mail and the text with "yes and I put all the information into the ticket." Then I get an email back from the ticket saying "okay, thanks." Then I get another email responding to their "did you see my ticket email" saying "okay, thanks." Then I get a text replying to my reply saying "okay, thanks." And, on average, I would say this happens at least 10 times a day. Sometimes, when I'm especially lucky, I'll get a phone call mixed into that mess "hey, sorry to bother you, did you see that ticket I created, it's ticket number 123abc. . ."

I think you can go to Notifications in your Settings.

You can then turn off notifications for each of the apps installed on your iPhone. I did this about 7 years ago and it's a game changer.

My screen shows no notifications at all. Ever.

Yes, after I posted I realized there was no need to have badges on my FaceTime app, so I just went to Settings and toggled that off.

In some cases, I prefer notifications to having to go manually check it. To cite just one example, during NFL season, I usually set the ESPN app to notify me of all scores in the 1:00/4:00 window. Because if I'm not getting notifications, I'll just keep checking the app manually for updates (OK, fine, I do that, too). I also like getting major news alerts from the NYTimes app, because that way I know that if there's a significantly major story, I won't miss out on it.

But like I said, with the vast majority of apps, you get zero benefit from receiving notifications. My advice is to Marie Kondo the s##t out of those notifications; if they don't spark joy, turn them off

I also can’t stand those things, and turn off notifications in nearly all my apps. Even better limit the apps you have (I have a strict one screen policy)

Paradoxically, I have no issue with unopened emails, of which I have 22K+.
