Can we get a collective WDIS thread for week 15? (1 Viewer)

My team has been ravaged by injuries at RB. My .5 ppr, need two from : Denard, Boulden, Hightower, Bryce. Leaning towards Denard and Hightower, but Bryce has such a juicy matchup.

PPR

Ivory

Powell

Bryce

Woodhead

pick 2

leaning ivory/Bryce

but fbg has woodhead ranked higher than Bryce?!
By a good ways. Doesn't jive with his usage in the second half of the season, does it? Hasn't done jack since the bye week. My opponent has Danny on the bench this week.

Ivory for sure.

So risky picking both Jets RBs but it is tempting as Powell has been super productive the last few weeks.

See what Brown can do for you.

Thinking Bryant as he's got a higher ceiling

One of my leagues is TD-only scoring.. advice for that kind of league is hard to come by.

Need 2 from C. West, Shoelace, Gore, Langford.

Need 1 from Cooper, Evans, Edelman

(Missed out on Lockett and (moronically, given my depth) had Edelman as my second move. Don't imagine he helps until week 16, if at all, and can't imagine not starting Evans with the other two questionable. Will Cooper play?

Here's a follow up to my RB question: .5 ppr, Need three WR from Hopkins, Baldwin, D. Thomas, Martavis.

Hopkins and Baldwin are easy, but Martavis/Thomas is driving me nuts. My gut says go with upside in Martavis. Denver's D is just so good though.

Gore & Robinson

Evans

wow that's a tough call

Agreed on the first two.

Think I'd go with Bryant, he's on such a great roll. Admittedly this could be a boom/bust week for him, but for me it comes down to trusting Big Ben over Brock.

Who do you bench 1pt/10yds (RB rush/rec) - 1pt/8yds (wr rec)

D. Freeman @Jags

L. Miller @ SD

D. Martin @STL

C.Johnson @NO

B.Marshall @DAL

16 team PPR

Start 2

DeAngelo Williams vs Denver

DeVonta Freeman @ Jax

Charcandrick West @ Baltimore
Javorius Allen vs KC

Have DeAngelo and Freeman slotted in right now, but West is looking better with Ware hurt.

PPR. Start 1 RB. Choices are:

Woodhead

Spiller

Sproles

Vereen

I'm really missing Lynch and Dion Lewis right now. Best rbs on the wire are FJax, Herron, and Polk.

Freeman his last 3 games has 29-130-0 and 13-78-0 with a lost fumble. Hard to get under that. Like the matchup? Hrumph - Falcons offense is pretty bad the last 6-7 weeks.

Break it down:

  • Marshall should not be on any list of who should I bench right now.
  • Miller - good road matchup, playing at a high level.
  • Martin - semi-rough matchup, but I expect them to run a lot, gotta keep rolling him out IMO.
  • Calvin - great matchup, but the Lions have no heart, and historically play poorly on the road. I don't see them getting up for this one. And while much of the blame rightly goes to the coaches and Stafford, the fact is Calvin has one 100 yard game this year, the fewest since his rookie year. He is still a great player but not the dominant force he once was, and probably never will be again (still expecting him to be very good going forward, just not what we have come to expect from him)
So I think it comes down to either Freeman or Megatron. While it's tempting to say both have great matchups, I'm not sure the Falcons get untracked this week. The Lions might get their rushing game going this week, and Tate has been more involved. Another thing to look for is them playing a lot more younger guys (which is why TJ Jones was getting targets last week.)

I'm confused it it's PPR - if it is, Freeman might have a decent week. I don't see any reason to feel confident in starting any Lions, especially on the road.

I like your analysis, West might see more work this week.

I am presuming you don't need advice on what to do with DeAngelo every week, regardless of the matchup.

Go with the short guy. I mean the really short, short guy. I mean #43. Sproles.

Spiller - should not be in the conversation

Woodhead - not much since the bye

Vereen - sure was good with the Pats, eh? I hate watching all 3 NYG RBs

Wat? Isn't this team 12-1?

;)

Cobb
13-1 palHaven't had to post a real lineup in almost a month

Hopefully Martin goes ape #### tonight and I won't have to worry about it
I been skipping a lot of TNF/SNF/MNF games this year if its crap teams, but I'm looking forward to Gurley & Martin.

Trying to decide between Gurley or Mi Floyd @ PHI

Like Floyd's floor better (full PPR)

Full ppr makes Floyd the better play, but not by much.

Yup. It really comes down to Freeman or West.

Been riding the Freeman train all year, led me to most points and #1 seed, would hate to see him blow up on my bench and lose.

I need to pick 1, full PPR

Charcandrick West @ BAL

John Brown @ PHI

Latavius Murray vs GB

If Ware is out, leaning towards West. If not, probably going to go with Brown. Eagles have gotten roasted on the long ball this year and that's Brown's MO. Can see him going 4 for 120 and 2 TDs.

Should mention we get bonuses for 50+ yd TDs, and yardage bonuses each 25 yards over 100 for both running and receiving. Also, bonuses for rushing attempts over 20 each 5. (Scores get pretty high in this league ...)

I really like Gurley, it's just they have nothing besides him on offense besides the jet sweep to Austin. Have actually benched him the last couple weeks (last week on a bye), Detroit played with no heart Sunday. Bucs have a lot to play for tonight.

Floyd has been white hot since Week 8 every game he's been healthy, and the matchup is great. Shouldn't be a hard decision, but Gurley is the kind of special talent that can bust one at anytime against anyone.

I'm pretty solid everywhere else so I don't think I need to take a boom/bust risk. I don't want to go into Sunday with a dud sitting in my lineup.

I have another that is a little tricky, 16 team PPR.

QB Scoring is very unique:

TDs=6, 1 point per 50 yards passing, 1 point per completion, -1 per incompletion , INT = -2, Fumble lost = -3.

Have Eli vs Carolina or Carr vs Green Bay.

I am favored in my matchup and my opponent has OBJ.

I am going with Eli, any reason I should start Carr?

Palmer or Cam????

on the fence on this one...
to be clear fairly standard scoring league, with multipliers for 40+ yard passes, 60+ yard runs
Im in this fantastic situation as well in one league and Ive been rolling with Cam for the past 4-6 weeks and liking the results. Nice matchup this week, no Stewart, Im gonna still stay with him. Palmer has been super consistent but Cam has put up those 30+ pt games a few times lately.

Ok. Go. What do you need?

I need to start 3 of these RBS:

Hightower (lock), James white (I think lock?), cmike vs. cle, cap vs. NYG, Polk vs. Indy, woodhead.

Or I can start 2 of those and then either Ben Watson vs. NO, Diggs vs chi, moncrief vs. Houston.

Non ppr. Standard.

What say you?
James White scares me in general. In PPR, even moreso. If he doesn't score, his floor is a point or two, and his ceiling doesn't make up for the floor, if that makes sense. He's a high risk/reward guy, but the risk outweighs the reward. That said, I'm not sure who I would like more, out of the options you listed. Maybe Woodhead? But, again (no PPR), he's sort of the same back as White (but on a offense that is struggling). So, yeah, maybe White it is.

I would stay away from CMike (I think SEA only signed him to hedge their bet, so to speak... He's their last resort, and nothing more than depth). Could be wrong, but his "floor" is he doesn't see the field. Same with CAP, to some degree... They may just stick with a combo of Fozzy/Tolbert.

Polk? Too many backs in HOU to count on any one of them, in my opinion.

I think I'd go with Watson, or maybe Diggs, as the 3rd choice.

Depends on what you're looking for, though. Do you need a "home run" option, or are you looking to play it safe with the guys that are most likely to get 5-7 points minimum? Watson and Diggs are safe to see some balls, and Watson at home is close to a 50/50 bet to score.

In terms of who is the safest, I would go:

Hightower

Watson

Diggs

White/Woodhead

Moncrief

Polk

CAP

CMike

Just my opinion.

I have a few. Some are more dreadful options than others. One that is not dreadful is Cam vs. Wilson. Both are great matchups, obviously. I'm leaning towards Cam only because I think the NYG have more to play for, and are therefore more likely to keep it close. Not to mention, they (NY) are at home. I could see the SEA game getting out of hand early (with a defensive score or two), and Russell never really needing to do much to win the game. Hoping Eli plays well (I have him in another league), which would mean Cam needs to produce to win.

Yuck.... Hightower def in, White is in, and the 3rd would be a coin flip of Watson/Diggs unless more news comes out and cmike/cap have more defined roles. Regardless, tough to trust either of them.
Agreed. White still scares me in non-PPR though.

Rivers or Mariotta. My main tough decision.
Rivers! Look at what Eli did last week to Miami. Rivers has one more game left in him.

Eli Manning NYG

27-31, 337 YDS, 4 TD
Rivers has lost damn near all his receivers, team has nothing to play for, he's been sick lately and been throwing up duds lately....but has decent matchup.

Mariota is hungry young qb still trying hard and putting up some darn good games recently...but playing a good team on the road.

How do you feel so sure about Rivers this week? He's not pitching to ODB like Manning was either.

PPR

Ivory

Powell

Bryce

Woodhead

pick 2

leaning ivory/Bryce

but fbg has woodhead ranked higher than Bryce?!
I might lean towards just taking the two Jets in that scenario, or Ivory/Woodhead. Bryce is a question mark, in terms of how many touches he'll get, and who knows if he will be a factor in PPR. SEA may lean more heavily than normal on FJax on passing downs.

My gut says Brown sees a decent amount of work, but the signing of CMike makes it a murky situation.

Need to start 2 of these:

David Johnson - good matchup at Philly, but will Ellington take some touches?

Devonta Freeman - bad in recent weeks but will he turn it around at Jax?

Deangelo Williams - running great but touch matchup vs. Denver, also starting Big Ben and Bryant, not sure if I want too many Pitt eggs in my basket in case Denver dominates

Todd Gurley - any concern with injury, and how good will TB run D be?

Lamar Miller - generally wasn't in discussion over above guys in recent weeks, but could he explode at SD?

Good choice to have, but I think I will make the wrong one...

QB conundrum - We get limited moves in my league and I have two left... Edelman is on the waivers, kinda want to grab him.

That leaves me with the QB play and I only have one pickup left for the week. I had Luck then Romo and now Eli who I used against Miami, but don't think I should against Carolina.

I can only make one move (assuming I grab Edelman):

Alex Smith @ Balt

Kirk Cousins vs Buff

Eli vs Car

Mariotta @ NE

Kicker

Santos @ Balt

Boswell vs Den

Standard scoring

Pick 1 QB:

Cousins v BUF

Mariota @ NE

Hasselbeck v HOU

Yates @ IND (also will be starting Hopkins)

Pick 1 WR:

John Brown @ PHI

Lockett v CLE

Right now have Cousins and Brown in.

1 point ppr.

Eli or Matt Ryan?

Pick 3:

AJ Green

Evans

Cooks

Shorts

Hurns

Ginn
Tough call on the QB's. My only fear with Eli is that he's capable of putting up a real stinker against a good defense, where he throws 3+ INT's. Ryan MIGHT be the safer bet, but Eli probably has more upside, if that makes sense.

I'd go with the top 3 WR's you listed.

Pick 3 WR. No PPR

Baldwin - Cle

TY Hilton - Hou

John Brown - @Phi

Michael Floyd - @Phi

Pick 1 RB

Latavious Murray (GB)

Buck Allen (KC).

Thanks in advance!

Makes complete sense on your QB comment, which makes it so tough for me.

I am afraid of Evans floor, to be honest. He has had some stinkers this year, but with VJax out, he has to get targets, no?. Hurns has been more productive, so I am torn.
