Non-PPR or PPR I take Davonte.Standard scoring…..who Would you take?
Isn’t Lamb in a new situation though?Lamb, I will err on the side of youth and the guy NOT in a new situation.
I agree but one might see being "the alpha" as a new situation. We've seen Adams fill those shoes already but Lamb didn't exactly grab the "1A" role with conviction last year.Lamb, I will err on the side of youth and the guy NOT in a new situation.
We will see how Davante fares without Rodgers... in his 9th seasonTough call. What is interesting to me is Davante has 12 TDs inside the 5 the past two seasons. CeeDee has 3. It's an unfair comparison for a lot of reasons but Davante definitely has that short area quickness that should make everyone more secure with TD projections. I think Carr can exploit that and I am not sure CeeDee has that short area quickness/separation.

Not sure why 9th season would be a concern for a player who has shown zero indication of a dropoff. We will see how Davante fares without Rodgers... in his 9th seasonTough call. Plus a whole lot of NFC shootouts against DEN, KC & LAC.Adams. He will be uncoverable and Carr will feast.
If we are talking dynasty value, Lamb has a higher ADP/ranking on both sites I look at. So from that perspective I would disagree that Adam’s is not on his level.I could see a question about Adams versus Jefferson or Adams versus Diggs, but Adams versus Lamb is unwarranted and reflects an unhealthy Cowboys obsession. Even Adams versus Chase is a more viable comp question...Lamb has not demonstrated generational talent on the same tier as the four I've mentioned.
Because Rodgers fed him from inside the 5 like a slot machineTough call. What is interesting to me is Davante has 12 TDs inside the 5 the past two seasons. CeeDee has 3. As I said there are a lot of differences, Rodgers also has a rep of feeding his favorites (not sure it's true).Because Rodgers fed him from inside the 5 like a slot machineTough call. i remember his first two seasons, so great post. still Adams > Lamb, but risk is higher on Adam imo.We will see how Davante fares without Rodgers... in his 9th season
So, you were expecting a break out in his rookie year?Maybe I'm not rational on Lamb, but I just feel like we've been waiting for the breakout for the past couple years, and while he's been decent, he hasn't really ascended to the next level. Maybe he'll finally do it this year, but I don't find that I have a lot of faith in him.
Of course, I remember everyone expecting the Adams breakout in his second year after Jordy tore his ACL, and when it didn't happen I lost faith in him as well. Took another couple years but pretty soon he was the best WR in the league
I wasn't expecting much from him either year. But yes, I do seem to recall a fair amount of hype when he was coming into the league. And given Jefferson and Chase the past couple years, it's not totally unreasonable to expect a rookie breakout. So, you were expecting a break out in his rookie year?Maybe I'm not rational on Lamb, but I just feel like we've been waiting for the breakout for the past couple years, and while he's been decent, he hasn't really ascended to the next level. No Cooper this year, Gallup still uncertain. He will be heavily targeted.
I'm not sure I agree Adams is a higher risk. CeeDee could certainly outperform him, he's very talented, but it's difficult to imagine Davante cratering. He seems like a high floor guy at the very least, particularly in PPR format.i remember his first two seasons, so great post. still Adams > Lamb, but risk is higher on Adam imo.We will see how Davante fares without Rodgers... in his 9th season
This is his third year. I drafted him last year expecting him to take the step to become the 1a to Cooper. That didn't happen. Does he fill the very well defined role laid out for him this year? We'll see.So, you were expecting a break out in his rookie year?Maybe I'm not rational on Lamb, but I just feel like we've been waiting for the breakout for the past couple years, and while he's been decent, he hasn't really ascended to the next level. I wouldn’t mind him in the 2nd. But I have him with Evans and honestly I’m not sure I wouldn’t want Evans.I don't think you can go wrong with either Adams or Lamb this season, but I am awfully high on Lamb.
In regards to Lamb's first 2 seasons........... wasn't his rookie season also impacted by Dak Prescott getting injured in week 5?
I don't know if Lamb will be a top 4-5 guy, but the stars certainly seem to be lining up for a big season if he stays healthy.

Dak tries forcing it to Lamb and he often looks like a young WR trying to make a play on a bad ball. I feel bad for him when it's a drop.Adams is the easy choice. I have had Lamb since his rookie year and he has disappointed vs the hype. He drops a lot of balls and the Dallas offense seems to forget about him for stretches. Carr isn't as good as Rodgers obviously but he and Adams do have a connection. They aren't coming in blind. Adams should continue his top 5 WR output.
I had Lamb last year and watched a decent number of their games. I just saw way too often that he simply disappeared in games. I’m not sure if it is inconsistent effort or what, but he just didn’t get open at times and seemed to lack concentration which lead to some bobbles and dropped balls at times as well. He just never really looked the part of a consistently dominant receiver.
If I’m drafting a guy that high, I’ll take the guy that has been a stud over and over again over the guy who hasn’t done it yet. Carr is not as good as Rodgers, but he is right around the level of Dak. And the Raiders threw the ball a ton last year.
For redraft, when drafting early in the draft, I’ll easily take the proven performer over the guy who you need to project a significant jump in production.
where i pause is I was burned pretty bad with Adams coming into the NFL and right or wrong I attribute his eventual success, a lot of it, to Rodgers. hence the "risk" comment. he's also competing with more mouths to feed than he did at GB I think, I should go lookup his target % and compare to what renfrow & waller were getting as a baseline. Lamb's target share should go the other way.I'm not sure I agree Adams is a higher risk. CeeDee could certainly outperform him, he's very talented, but it's difficult to imagine Davante cratering.
