I feel your pain but Alshon always injured does come into the equation. And I mean always.Aaaaand they're keeping Barth. Great decisions all around for this organization. :guninmouth:

Alshon? I'm talking about them not even trying out other kickers when theirs has been the worst in the league this year. It's like they want to lose. Don't even care anymoreI feel your pain but Alshon always injured does come into the equation. And I mean always.
usually for an extra $250,000 a year you can have the best kicker as in R.Gould who the Bears let go. Never understood that about NFL teams that think they can just throw anyone in there. Kickers decide games plenty of times a year.Alshon? I'm talking about them not even trying out other kickers when theirs has been the worst in the league this year. It's like they want to lose. They think that because it happens all the time. Look at how many kickers are actually performing well that were just sitting there available. Very, very rarely does a team draft and invest in a kicker because it's easy enough to just find a "guy." It's the same reason why you don't invest a higher draft pick on a kicker in fantasy football.usually for an extra $250,000 a year you can have the best kicker as in R.Gould who the Bears let go. agreed, but a guy like R. Gould has been gold & kicked most of the time at Soldier field. just saying I would pay the extra as a team owner to have Gould. Probably why I'm not a team owner notwithstanding the slight money factor to be one. They think that because it happens all the time. I remember being on the side of keeping Gould but I understood why they let him go. His performance for the Bears was declining and he was. Going as expected for the Bears, at least what I expected. This will be the beginning of the end for Fox if they lose this game, similar to blowout to Green Bay in Trestman's final season.Come on, we rarely have a shot in these lately, lets sack up and get a win today. Don't care about draft pick or anything. I want to see the packers lose and let them remember what can happen when you don't have a HOF QB at the helm.
GO BEARS!!!
this game wasn't ever going to be a blowout, and should be tied right now. Not happy with d break downs, excessive penalties, and offensive mediocrity, but we are still in it and can pull it out.Going as expected for the Bears, at least what I expected. Didn't say it was going to be a blowout. I'm saying it represents the same thing it did when the Bears got embarrassed in that second game under Trestman. I don't care what the game should be. If they lose to a terrible Packers team under Hundley after having two weeks to prepare, it's over. It's already been an embarrassing and pathetic performance.this game wasn't ever going to be a blowout, and should be tied right now. Update? This is it. This is my Bears season today. Win this one and I can have a small smile on my face until the start of 2018 season.
Let's go Bears!!!
Trubiksy had a pretty good game so I'm not sure what you are talking about. It wasn't amazing but I thought it was good considering what he's working with.At a minimum, Fox should be fired after today. At a minimum, Fuller should be benched, if not out right cut. That was a pitiful effort on his part. And could we quit hearing all this talk of putting Trubisky in the HOF. He didn't look very good. The receivers aren't helping him any, but he hasn't been impressive the last couple of games.
I don't think Trubisky moved well in the pocket. He didn't move the team well. I do believe that it is hard for him to grow, and hard to evaluate him with the trash they have at receiver. I just think that Bear fans have been so thrilled with him, and I would like to pump the brakes. Let's wait and see what he is.Trubiksy had a pretty good game so I'm not sure what you are talking about. It wasn't amazing but I thought it was good considering what he's working with.
I thought he's shown great pocket presence this year. Far better than Glennon. The issue I saw with him today was holding on to the ball too long. He had opportunities to throw to a WR or throw away but for some reason held on too long. He was blitzed a lot today which probably didn't help. He made some bad passes and some good ones. Some of those good ones were not caught. He didn't turn the ball over which is huge.I don't think Trubisky moved well in the pocket. He didn't move the team well. Played like a first round rookie. He’s not going to look like Watson but he’s also not going to look like last year Goff.flapgreen said:Trubisky wasn't terrible today. Saying he was good is a huge stretch and not the case. The team around him sucked, too.
As bad as Goff looked, look what a good head coach did for him. Just one offseason with a good coach. They're the top offense in the league this year.Played like a first round rookie. He’s not going to look like Watson but he’s also not going to look like last year Goff.
Absolutely. Hopefully Pace is studying every OC in the league already. As bad as Goff looked, look what a good head coach did for him. Just one offseason with a good coach. They're the top offense in the league this year.
I agree with most of this but not sure about the complexity of O’Brien’s offense. Part of the reason Watson looked so comfortable was that it seemed that the Texans had simplified things, played to Watson’s strengths and let him essentially run a college style offense.Amazing that since Watson went down, Tom Savage, a guy who has been with the Texans for a couple of years now, has been downright awful.
Bill O'Brien's offensive scheme is supposedly one of the most complicated ones around and Watson was absolutely flourishing.
Meanwhile, Bears are keeping the training wheels on Trub and IMO he's regressed since preseason. Spider sense is gone, accuracy is down and he's not beating the blitz nor rolling out.
Sure, they let him toss it around late and he showed some positivity, but at no time has he looked anwhere near the level Watson was at after less than half a season. Intangibles and intelligence matter, yet so does durability. If Watson can't keep from blowing tires, Trub will have a more effective career, but when healthy Watson has looked far more effective, accurate and dynamic.
Inman looked good until he dropped that late pass that hit him right in the hands.
Lions will crush us next week. Can't wait.

I originally blamed Fox but then I remembered that it probably wasn't his decision since the coaches in the booth are usually the ones who tell him to throw the flag. That challenge and result by Fox was comical. Thanks for the laugh john
Winning the challenge and losing the football (and probably the game) because of the challenge was a thing of beauty. I will always remember this idiot for that. Best part was that the call was wrong because Cunningham's foot was out of bounds before he lost control of the ball and before it hit the pylon.I think about 75% of us in here said he should've been fired before the season. This is the result.
I thought there was a fair chance he was going to send out the punting unit on the Bears last possession.Winning the challenge and losing the football (and probably the game) because of the challenge was a thing of beauty. That's not the foot out of bounds we're talking about. I've been looking at the :54 mark. I see his toe touching out of bounds and the ball in his hands right before it comes out.
I think the ball is already floating at that point personally. It just seems like it's not still being gripped there. That's not the foot out of bounds we're talking about. I've been looking at the :54 mark. I see his toe touching out of bounds and the ball in his hands right before it comes out.
