I understand they were hoping for any points there knowing they were getting the ball to start the 2nd half, but you at least try for a TD or shorter FG-especially  having all the timeouts they did. The are playing not to lose and that gets you nowhere.

I was just looking at Shurmur's Pro Football Reference page. 13 years as HC or OC in the league and he's 45th percentile in both Yards and Points. 38 and 28 in Denver. His best work was with Chip Kelly calling plays.
