CJ Anderson (5 Viewers)

so... did the bye week fix the bronco's terrible O-line? manning was not pressured at all and they ran at will all game.... the polar opposite of the first 6 games

Wow, I feel like an idiot. Debated it long before the start of the games today and decided to drop CJ for Darkwa. Figured with Hillman being the starter it would require a lot of things to go right for him to be start worthy. Wanted to hold him in case this happened but my gamble lossed. Oh well.

Cja wasn't healthy and the oline sucked. Has he looked good? no. But its obv that he'll continue to get touches and we've seen in the past he has talent. It'll be interesting to see how he does the roty. If he's gonna return to last year's form the online is gonna have to play much better

Still glad I dropped him for Diggs. Since I probably won't be able to snag him back, I think I'll go for David Cobb.

Yahoo blurb mentions he got the work in the second half due to a thigh injury to Hillman.

Wasn't aware of that last night. I'm assuming it's not serious, although never know after the bloodbath yesterday.

Remember remember the 1st of November.

I am still okay with the fact that he is not potentially starting at any point for my team. I just don't trust him or that o-line this year on top of splitting carries at best.

I personally thought he looked better than Hillman.
This.

Now healthy he looked real good, I think this still remains a time share but I can see CJ being the 1A and if/when the workload knocks Hillman out CJ becomes a strong RB1 if the O-line has in fact turned things around.

I thought he looked mighty fast on that TD run.

Matt Harmon had him clocked at 20.93 mph on that run. One of the fastest NFL players clocked last Sunday (9th of 10 listed)

Oh, and no surprise, Gurley was the second fastest player in Week 8, per NextGenStats. Gurley is just special, man.

He had turf toe to open the season. Turf toe, even in mild form, can sap a runner's explosiveness and really needs rest to heal. Based on CJA's comments, he was being too stubborn to rest earlier in the year. Maybe the bye week was exactly what he needed.

Turf toe is nasty stuff. I've always thought it was a multi-week, lingering type injury. 1 bye week seems quick. Maybe CJ had a mild sprain or something. He did look like the better RB.

Oh yeah, I bid 15.3% of my budget on him and lost to a guy who spent 20.9%. Even with Hillman likely usurping lead back duties, I still project him to see a lot of 3rd down work and see a decent amount of receptions moving forward. Something like 12-15 touches moving forward, 3-5 of them being receptions is obviously plausible and will still make him flex worthy in the correct match-up.
Here are his touches vs. GB. The OL largely looked improved and CJA looked to be in 2014 form. I definitely should have bid more, it was a huge mistake.

Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Ronnie Hillman (questionable, thigh) "definitely will start" Sunday.
Hillman is fully expected to play despite his questionable tag. He should lead the backfield in snaps, but will continue losing work to C.J. Anderson. Hillman is Rotoworld's No. 20 running back for Week 9.

Contemplating starting him even tho I have Gurley, DWill, JStew and DLew projected to have more points than him.

I just like his matchup more than JStew and DLew.

Dropped in a $200 buy in league yesterday, firing my entire remaining $76 FAAB at him. I hope to hell that wasn't a fluke. Could win me this league after losing Le'Veon.

And yes, I will keep you posted.

Isn't it weird how all year we were talking about CJ losing snaps to Hillman?

Kinda in the same boat. Dropped this week by an impatient owner. I'm no. 3 on our waiver wire next week. Hope to pick him up to replace Bell as well.

I have lost Bell AND Foster. Hoping like heck this guy can maybe save my season.

I, too, will keep y'all informed.

This is a fantastic cut up. Good job SSnD.

The Broncos lost their backup OLT Ty Sambriallo (sp?) but CJ didn't appear to miss a beat and he even had his long scoring run with the backup tackle in the game so that was good to see.

The only thing that could change things is how the Broncos will use newly traded for TE Vernon Davis because it appeared they were keeping in an in-line blocking TE to assist the back-up their OLT. Early buzz is how excited they are about Vernon's speed and they can't exploit that unless they use him as a move TE but CJ looks great in the link that Same Song and Dance provided if you haven't checked it out.

I'm beginning to feel it with CJ again. Just when I thought all was lost and Hillman was going to be the man, Wham, CJ has come back from the wounded. I ended up trading D Adams for him before trade deadline ended in our league.

I lost L Bell who started alongside D Martin. This week it is D Martin and F Gore or CJ Anderson. Anderson is pegged in right now and I think he has a very good game as well.

Well, the $76 bought him. Rolling him out this week. Fingers crossed.

I'm glad to see you're interested. I'm starting him this week over free agent acquisition Pierre Thomas. I have Forsett and Charcandrick on byes, so I had to start Thomas alongside DeAngelo if I hadn't won CJ. Now, I'm starting CJ and D-Will. Will post my score Sunday and Monday so you'll know how I'm doing.

I'm super excited for you. Spending your entire FAAB on a Denver RB is the stuff of legends.

Thanks. If it pays off, I think it will be. I tried shopping Eli Manning for Jeremy Hill to a guy who's 5 deep at RB and doesn't even flex Hill. He has recently productive but definitely iffy options at QB (Hoyer and Tyrod) but he laughed me out of the room. I really had no choice. I need this week's game to stay in the running for a first round bye and couldn't risk a goose egg from Thomas. Nothing else on the wire of note, down to the Darkwas and Chris Thompsons of the world. I'm deep at QB and WR so I was saving my FAAB to take a shot at an RB. I might have waited to see if another top back went down and then snagged his backup but with the immediate need this week, I had to make a move. Two of the other teams jockeying for playoff position with me both had $75 remaining, so I had to empty the tank to ensure I got him.

Pretty pricey for a handcuff.

No, I don't have Hillman. I needed a bye week plug in for this week and week 11 and was hoping for a guy that could keep me afloat those two weeks and also had potential to be an every week starter if circumstances went in his favor. Not a lot of guys that can deliver (hopefully) on both counts. When one unexpectedly hit the wire, I had to secure him. $76 of FAAB doesn't help me at the end of the year.

Spent 100 percent of my Faab on him this week. $1. Could be a good return on investment down the stretch if I have any RB injuries.

He looked really strong in that cut up SSAD posted above. He got something out of not much several times, and mostly inside the tackles too -- which is why Hillman should be hearing footsteps again.

Seems like they were getting more success/less failure from the power runs opposed to the Zone runs

you really have nothing else to do in life but act like this in multiple threads? I'll give you a hint. Some of us use the information that people post about what they are doing for a player. If you don't then just ignore the posts, but I'm betting you're not as smart as you think.
