Justin Case...I swear to larryboy I'm not making this up. That's the kid's first and middle names.
  :lmao:

I used to work with a Justin Case, though Case was his last name.

We did good with our first son, giving him my and her dad's middle names, and got Andrew William (I figured Drew was a good QB name). Then we got to a deadlock on our 2nd boys name, and I let her pick as long as I got to pick the 3rd if we get there. She messed it up and went with Jackson, and then her maiden name (which is also a pompus first name) for his middle name. We didn't even realize together they are Andrew Jackson until my dad pointed that out.

:lmao: We are going with her deceased mothers maiden name as a middle name which is Hilton.

Can I get an official ruling on "Isabella"Isabella Jennings has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
I think it is very important to research the meaning of a name before naming your child. I have done this for you. :lmao: Isabella Origin: SpanishMeaning: pledged to GodWith all that being said. It is your child... Doesn't matter what any of us think. I named my oldest daugher Nicole Paige, second daughter McKayla Cheyenne, and my son Trevor Mathew. I wanted Michael Mathew, but I was over-ruled by husband... And yes, Mathew is spelled odd, but he received his father's first name as his middle and my mother in law opted for one T. <shrug>

Havent read through the thread at all, but I am in the process of buying some land from a man named

Cheyenne isn't an Indian name...it's an Indian word for the name of a tribe. That would be like me naming my kid Seamus Italian or something.
:lmao: You should have gone with Tonto.

Welcome aboard Mrs. C too! :lmao:

Are names like Liam, Donovan, Shamus, Ewan, good, manly ethnic names? I have a Scotch-Irish last name so they would go well with that.

Okay, for your approval:

Girls:

Molly

Taylor

Paige

Ava

Boys:

Caleb

Payton

Spencer

Jacob
I'm not down with the unisex names. This last year, in one class, I had 3 Taylors...2 boys and a girl. I also had a girl named Payton.
Damn......I didn't even think of Taylor being a boys name....
Leslie has got to be the worst unisex name in th English language
Yeah....but it wasn't supposed to be a unisex name. Leslie Nielson's parents are a ####.....
Leslie Sheppard down?

These are good names. I've got a classic Irish last name and would like to pair it with a good name like those (I've got an Irish first name too). Donovan would be my preference but my wife won't allow it. I think we settled on a gender neutral name of Dylan. For the record, "shamus" is a nickname for a detective back in the '30's and 40's. "Seamus" is an Irishman's name.

My wife heard a woman calling her kid at the airport:

Brooklyn Memphis, you get over here right now!

2. Moral.
You're aware that's Americanized, right? In French, the stress would be on the second syllable, and the vowel would be different. I am going to continue pronouncing it the French way.
I just saw this, and I agree with Smoo. I ain't changing after all these years.BTW, my name is actually pronounced "SHAN ning".

My friends wife made the mistake of telling a group of us at dinner last week she wanted a boy and wanted to name him Brinkley. Some of the people at the table ripped into her so bad she got upset, started crying and left for a little while to calm down.

It sounds worse than it is, this girl cries at everything. In fact, we call her "Cry" as a nickname behind her back.

you guys sure do sound like a swell circle of friends.

I have a student this year named Ramseys. Pronounced like the Egyptian king dude. :goodposting:

My least favorite name this year is McKensee. :lmao:

My wife pointed this out in some kind of article in the paper. From Jermaine Jackson's Wikipedia page:

A year after separating from Margaret Maldonado, Jermaine Jackson married his brother Randy Jackson's ex-girlfriend Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza. Alejandra and Randy were in a long term relationship and had two children together: a daughter Genevieve and a son Randy, Jr. Alejandra and the children lived at the Jackson family home Hayvenhurst. In 1996 the couple had a son Jaffar Jackson and in 2000 had another son Jermajesty.

Talking to a buddy of mine that teaches at another Jr. Hi.

He got a new student the other day.

First Name: Dallas

Middle Name: Cowboy

True story

Cousin just had a baby, her husband is 100% Italian; as in he's from NYC and went to a family reunion in Chicago this summer...

Anyway, he wanted to name the boy Bruno. Which, gets an initial laugh but I can see it as a classic name.

They settled on:

Gino Anders

I think Gino will be taking over the family business.... :goodposting:

My advice for child naming is to think like a third grader and go for major teasing...

I like the name Peter, and can you believe the abuse he would receive with the last name Phifer? :pepper:

I also know the other side to this, growing up in the late 70s, early 80s with the name Blair and "Facts of Life" on...Ouch

My Wife and I have 3 and I think we did OK on the names:

Alexander Caleb

Andrew Robert

Emily Rose

I think my wife and I have done well.

Dylan Lizabeth

Conor Michael

James Bryson (Bryce)

I think they won't be too scarred. :goodposting:
