Conversion Therapy Founder Comes Out as Gay: "ministry is a lie" (1 Viewer)

I don't think we ever read from the bible in high school but I'm pretty sure we did in grade school.  You never having a bible seems odd though.  You were never given one as a First Communion gift or anything like that?
I remember getting a medallion chain , savings bonds & straight cash homey

I'm surprised they didn't use actual bibles for teaching you how you read it.  I remember having to do it when young.  I also remember having to pick out my "favorite" verse.  I was never a fan of religion class.

Did you have to go to CCD in HS for confirmation? We had theology and studied every other religion but Catholicism. What a screw job.

No.  Went to Catholic grade school, jr. high and high school.  Got confirmed with the grade below me because I missed it with my grade, forgot to tell my mom about it and didn't go.  Had theology classes and had a terrible teacher which made the class worse than it already was.

I went to Catholic HS.  We took theology all 4 years.  Not only did we have to have the required textbooks but a Bible as well.  Some theology classes had class sets.  If they didn't you could buy a pocket-sized one at the student store.

Sounds like a swell school and my experience minus the Bible . You understand every school is different, mine was run by the Xaverian Brothers

The Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA) is thoroughly aligned with the progressive politics of the Democrat Party and especially those of the Socialist Democrats.  They campaign for, volunteer, contribute to many of the more progressive Democratic candidates.

Cool links. Have any actual stories and not just ridiculous accustaions like The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) is infiltrating the Democratic Party across the country

You very well know that the whole "bring your bible to school" is not about religious schools
How does the whole bring your bible go down? Do the throw it in their backpack and keep it there? Pull it out and carry it with the rest of the books or do they open it up and read during recess etc???

We didn't have cell phones when I was in school. Do people currently bring cell phones to school? Because the entire Bible is online (just as God intended), so there's no reason to bring scripture with you in paperback.

It's not just bibles, though. They're encouraging kids to put up posters and hand out religious "conversation cards".

I expect kids to appreciate the aesthetic virtues of reading a well-crafted physical book, not staring at a screen.  You philistine.  😡

Guy on about his 15th ID complaining about using an alias is high comedy.
I’m not complaining, I wish I could get away with what Tanner does. And as you preach as Sheriff Sho....keep it about the topic. How do you know how many ID’s? You brag about how many people you have on ignore.  I wonder how many people you report each week? I got two weeks from Clayton for “arguing “. If that standard was applied to you then you would get a life time ban.

Tanner is 100x the poster you are. HTH

King James was gay. Yeah, that guy that commissioned the bible.

Be loving and treat people how you want to be treated.

I went 12 years to Parochial schools and never cracked a bible.Never had one. To me it’s weird but to others it might make perfect sense to carry a bible. Different strokes for different folks
Wait, what the ####???  I can't recall a year, including kindergarten,  where my parochial school didn't provide me with a Bible and where we didn't spend a significant time reading it and discussing it. Didn't you have Religion class?

Yeah, it's bull####. I was part of entire class in High School that got detention because a number our bible's were either on the ground or not stored with care. An otherwise nice and calm priest lost his #### on us for about an hour.

Kids these days have it easy.

I had to take comparative theology in college just to learn about other religions. I really wish my school taught me more about other religions in high school. I recall us just glossing over the 95 Theses.

But, I do know my Apologetics like a boss.

Someone should start a Catholic school boy thread.Would be a real hoot and a half.
I went to a Catholic all boys school in Detroit.  If you had a argument in a class one of the priest had 8oz Everlast boxing gloves in his desk and they cleared the desks out into a circle and it was like a MMA match. I was in and seen some dam good bouts.

Essentially, by doing that commercial for FOTF, an organization which promotes conversion therapy. I have yet to see any comments by him that says conversion therapy is wrong. If you have a link that proves otherwise, I would like to see it.
So let me get this straight. We are to condem Breese for doing a commercial for FOTF on a unrelated part of their charter yet we should fully support  planned parenthood because they do mammograms and forget the part about them sucking babies out of their mothers?
