Darts thread (1 Viewer)

Will bump this thread for tomorrow's world final, Littler since I last posted has won the Premier League and the Grand Slam, and will go into the final as a favourite against three time world champion Michael van Gerwen, neither has had it completely plain sailing to get to this stage but both had trivial semi final victories this evening, winning 6-1 in sets against Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey respectively. Final should start at I guess 3pm EST, will quickly edit if inaccurate along with US TV coverage details

Edit - Looks like it might be slightly earlier at 2:30 EST, whether that is the intended game on time or the start of the build up, I don't know. Appears as if DAZN has the rights in the US, you will all know better than me what that means

It means nobody here will be watching.

The darts federation doesn't seem interested in growing the sport in the US which seems odd given how European-based sports like soccer and Formula 1 have successfully expanded their popularity. I doubt there was a huge market for the US broadcast rights, especially with all the other things going on over the holiday season but it they'd probably be giving the rights away via an ad buy to reach more US eyeballs.

I'd also definitely watch a Netflix Darts to Survive series that showed the behind the scenes lives of the competitors. Who wouldn't want to see Peter Wright gluing the stickers on his skull backstage or to see Michael Van Gerwen playing with his dog that looks exactly like him.

I spoke too soon. The final is streaming on something called Fanduel TV Extra that I'm accessing via the Roku Channel.
