Deadly Animal Draft (1 Viewer)

I have been holding this pick in my pocket a l;ittle while, wanting to hear some discussion on the sperm what pick (I trust you fixed the broken link). I also recommend that drafters add their justification to their priginal pick, it will help you when the polls are made.So selecting, by proxy, for PoolShark. He has made an excellent pick, one I might have considered myself: the evil, malicious, wantonly destructive, ill-tempered, nearly blind White Rhino .
i knew the white rhino would not make it to me.even in the dangerous animal thread i conceded that the white rhino specifically would be a push battling with a hippo.the 2nd largest land animal to the african elephant (already selected) the white rhino is a solid pick.

Rhino is severely overrated. This is nothing but a hype pick. As evidence, here's the all too predictable outcome of African elephant v. rhino:
I agree the African Elephant should grade out higher. But then, it was drafted first, wasn't it? I believe the White Rhino was a nice value where it was selected. Might not have been my choice, but I can't argue.

Notice in your reference the PLURAL of Elephant and the SINGULAR of Rhino.Hell, 50 billion guppies might kill a Great White shark, too.

It does say "orpaned elephants." The picture is misleading, but these were individual Ellies.

One of these peed on me, once. (Yes, I'm serious.  :bag: )
WTF is wrong with you that you were within peeing distance of a rhino?
 Zoo.I was about two feet from a big (and I mean *BIG*) sign that said: "Beware of animal's spray." I didn't beware enough. :bag:
There's a zoo with a rhino who is prone to spray the visitors? Can't they even get a decent Rhino in your city?

Elephant is strong on the land... evidence that it beats the rhino and the hippo is a judgement call. Rhino is a solid pick though.

The rhino is another nice pick. Don't see much as to the damage they've caused other creatures though. And I concede that elephants have natural enemies, but I would still take them one on one in any land contest.

This was quite some time ago, when keeping an animal in a "simulated habitat" meant a 30x40 asphalt pen surrounded by moat and cage. You'd be surprised the kind of rebound a good rhino whiz will get when it strikes the blacktop.(I, however, will not be surprised. This time. :hot: )

You're just bitter because you botched your 1st pick.....

Leopard ?? That was kind of like taking Curtis Martin with the 4th pick of an FFL draft.
he did score his 1st TD of the year tonight.just in time for fantasy playoffs.

Sorry for the delay.... just got back from work. My pick:The Mighty Sperm Whale!Sperm Whale!
SWEEEET!!!!!!oh wait...unless i pick plankton i don't see you being much of a threat.other than to captain hucklebuck's cat of course.
Exactly. The sperm whale sounds good till you read a little bit about it and find out it sucks. Just kidding! Wait, no I'm not- it really won't do any good unless it rams things.

You're out of your mind. It can carry ten times its own weight 30 feet up a tree after killing it. It can jump 18 feet in the air. Most importantly, it's known to kill other big cats - like lions and tigers (and bears, oh my!) and such.

cosjobs,do people vote on animals fighting as a group or do these animals within the groups get paired off to fight one on one?

Yes, yes. That's it. Encourage him. Why don't we all just start spouting off animals still on the board? Platypus! Tree shrew! Anopheles mosquito! :hot:
unless you've seen mosquitos more than one inch long, they don't qualify.

Group fight. NOT individual. Eight on Eight. Fight lasts until all members of one team are DEAD. Winner gets fresh starters for the next match, loser wins a free trip to the dog food manufacturer.

excellent. this is what i thought. team members playing off others strengths and weaknesses will be key.
