Deadly Animal Draft (1 Viewer)

By proxy, Court Jester selects:

Summatran Orangutan

Orangutans breed more slowly than any other primate, the female producing a baby on average once every 7-8 years. This makes the population extra-vulnerable to loss and accelerates the decline in numbers.

ok fine, i will change. no big deal. its all for fun anywayIll take the Asian Rhinobig, strong, tough and 2 rounds later than the white rhino. specific measurements can be found at the link. ill delete my previous pick
Code:
Indian rhinos on average are about 3-7 feet tall and 7-14 feet long. They usually weigh about 3,300-4,400 pounds. [B]At first sight one might get frightened but they are peaceful animals[/B]. They are three hoofed animals.

By proxy. Sandbagger again takes the Fossa.

See pics and description in his post from the last time he drafted him.

Anybody see the footage of the Harpy Eagle snatching a full-grown sloth out of the tree-tops?  The sloth was so heavy that the eagle dropped down dramatically while trying to get lift.  However, the predator prevails, flying off with its prize. The sloth can be seen reaching, slowly, for anything to grab, while the talons of the Harpy remain firmly entrenched in its chest.    What a trip, to see.It was said to be the only such footage. Harpy...nice pickup.
Forget the fact that I declined an earlier offer as a GM here... My role as a sideline reporter to you all -- offering expert insight on beasts such as the Harpy and Orca -- will be suspended, unless I get some ### #### feedback now and again! :hot:  :considersfreeagentmarketforGMpositionagain:
pics ?
Been trying to post that DUI pick of the nasty country, redhead I have as my team logo....couldn't figure it out. :wall: :hot: All I know is deadly beasts.
Seriously...I'd like to know if anybody has seen the Harpy footage.I've watched a lot of these shows, and it was one of the more incredible sights I've seen. It made you feel bad for the sloth. Anybody see it? :o

No, but I find it hard to sympathize with one of the seven deadly sins.

again, sorry for the delay. ill take the cheetah

super speed and agility, good killing power. i thought about taking a more powerful animal here, but im pretty sure one of my offensive linemen will fall to me later. as far as dissing my rhino goes, im pretty sure he'd fight if something dangerous attacked it. im pretty sure that is what 14ft wild animals with horns do. back to studying. keep it rolling

The term "seven deadly sins" dates back to the middle ages. It refers to seven sins that were thought to lead to eternal damnation. The seven sins include: pride, greed, lust, anger, gluttony, envy, and sloth.

Oh my. I think we may have a developmentally disabled tiny fluffy kitten on our hands.

I made it a kitten so the finger money would have something to pick on.

By proxy. Sandbagger again takes the Fossa.

I'll try to help bagger out with some PR for his pick. This should win over the voters."The fossa is capable of explosive speed," Dollar says. The attack, he adds, must be straightforward in the extreme: "Wham! Face first, head bite, then front claws slashing the stomach and eviscerating. Puncturing the cranium and crushing the jawline in one bite. Front claws opening the body cavity." Given the chance, Dollar says, a fossa will "eat anything with a heartbeat: lemurs, reptiles, chickens, fish, wild pigs."

Just so everyone knows, the smallest ever was 2.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches long. Easily taken by a plaster-aided finger monkey.Edited to add kitten pictures

Sounds like Cowboy Roy Williams

This sounds more impressive before you learn the victim is a chicken.

Noodlefish takes the chimpanzee, Pan troglodyte

linkage (many different links at that page).

Chimps are decent size, decent speed, and most notably known to pull out the tools. An angry chimpanzee ain't nothin to phuq wit'.

I told 'em, they won't listen. They'll find out. Keep underestimating the fossa.

I think it would be good if somehow the draft board had links so that eveyone could see animals without going through 50+ pages.

By proxy, rover picks:

Indian Grey Mongoose. Biggest and baddest of the mongoose, this is the one you want--the cobra killer.

With all the poisonous snakes on the board, this guy's my specialist, and quick enough to avoid being squished by big beasts.

Not too early for a defensive specialist...

Damn.

A little late, but Mrs. Lindsay's First Grade Class had this to say about the Cheetah: "The cheetah is a very fast cat. It can reach a speed of 110 kilometers per hour in seconds. Cheetahs eat meat. They follow their prey. Only 2,400 cheetahs remain in the wild. It is endangered."Mrs. Lindsay's First Grade Class did not weigh in on the Blue Point Himalayan, but said this about the Himalayan's only known enemy: "The monarch butterfly eats nectar from flowers. The butterfly only flies during the day. They can fly up to 20 miles per hour. The butterfly leaves cold weather and flies to a warmer place. This is called migration"

 The first really strong purely tactical pick of the draft, imo.

Great idea. Why don't you edit you post on the first page to include all the teams, their picks and the links.
