It's cynical and manipulative for the purposes of the Democratic primary though.Doesn't matter. Won't be an issue in the general campaign. Doubt whoever the GOP candidate is will bring it up, they don't want their speeches to private parties released either (see Romney 47%).
If required, they'll be disposed of. That's how she rolls. It's cynical and manipulative for the purposes of the Democratic primary though.
However I really wonder who would have been foolish or obsessive enough to keep transcripts besides Hillary.
Of course. They don't read right from the podium like she's been doing though. All candidates prepare in advance and rehearse both their opening and closing statements. No one wings that.
Since day one.Hillary's response about not releasing her Goldman Sachs speeches: very unconvincing.
Yeah, I thought about that, but Trump did it in a very simplistic and ignorant way, like he does most things. At least Bernie understood some of the details. I don't know if Trump really knows anything about it. If I asked Trump the difference between Gaza and the West Bank right now, I strongly doubt he could tell me.Except that Trump brought it up first.
The only to an extant that Hillary was right about was that she attempted to stake positions on every side of the issue.
They just said on CNN that she required it or something like that - they're out there.squistion said:How do we know she actually kept transcripts? Has she said that? I think there are recordings or videos of the speeches and I would imagine that is what is being referred to.
I'm waiting for someone to ask him what NATO means.Yeah, I thought about that, but Trump did it in a very simplistic and ignorant way, like he does most things. At least Bernie understood some of the details. I don't know if Trump really knows anything about it. Trump also brought up the rejigging of NATO, at least from a cost sharing standpoint, and this was discussed at the Dem debate tonight as well. Seems like every time Trump raises a new issue it first gets dumped on as absurd, and then a couple weeks later it is proven to be a legitimate item for discussion.Except that Trump brought it up first.
Her rider required the company to pay for someone to transcribe it.squistion said:How do we know she actually kept transcripts? Has she said that? I think there are recordings or videos of the speeches and I would imagine that is what is being referred to.
And yes, I would say that shows a lack of good judgment. Her rider required the company to pay for someone to transcribe it.
The Jerk Store called...When Bernie said "we need a more evenhanded approach", Hillary could have said, "We've had that under Barack Obama." Which is true.
And when she said she had the last 3 meetings with them, he could add and it is still a mess. Also when Bernie said twice "At AIPAC you never mentioned the Palestinians", Hillary could have said, "At least I showed up."
You lawyers hate when #### gets written down don't you?And yes, I would say that shows a lack of good judgment.
I write stuff down every day. But I never write something down in my work life unless I feel comfortable seeing it on a 6' x 6' screen in front of the jury at trial. You lawyers hate when #### gets written down don't you?
Wrong answer, she will not follow through on any of it. Just saying what she needs to to win. There's a lot of folks around here that want Sanders to win the nomination - I'm one of those, but Sanders has already done this country a great service - if he wasn't running does anybody believe Hillary would be supporting some of the things she now claims to support? $15 min wage, affordable college, and others?
I think he's changed the landscape for the better no matter the outcome

Yep .It's a shame so many can't see this.Wrong answer, she will not follow through on any of it. Just saying what she needs to to win.
And Bernie could say, You could show up at the Vatican. Oh yeah, Pope Francis didn't have enough Holy Water stockpiled to invite you. Also when Bernie said twice "At AIPAC you never mentioned the Palestinians", Hillary could have said, "At least I showed up."
Just playing. Hey, curious about your thoughts on Bernie's strategy of laying off the email scandal. Just insane in my opinion. Such a legitimate issue to criticize her on, regardless of criminality. Points to bad judgment and flawed decision making, one of his most effective avenues of attack against her (used it on her Iraq decision, Libya, emails would have wrapped it all up in a nice bow). I know he wants to play the good guy and not look dirty, but it's not dirty at all raising that issue. It's almost a requirement at this point, and his reluctance to do it looks like nepotism or plain old weakness.I write stuff down every day. But I never write something down in my work life unless I feel comfortable seeing it on a 6' x 6' screen in front of the jury at trial.
Strongly disagree with you on all counts here. As usual.Yet simplistic and ignorant trumps anything Hillary brings to the table. This is another issues that we'll look back on in 20-30 years and say, Bernie was right again.
That said, you may be right. Electing someone who knows some trivia about Gaza is much more important than a few Jews and Palestinians getting mowed down.
NoAnyone else think Dana Bash could be nominated in the women you find oddly attractive thread?
He said months ago he was tired of hearing about it. Bringing it up now takes him down to her levelJust playing. Hey, curious about your thoughts on Bernie's strategy of laying off the email scandal. dont disagree, but just having these things being discussed moves in the right direction. Bernie is saying things you don't hear politicians say and the people are responding.Wrong answer, she will not follow through on any of it. Just saying what she needs to to win.
Good call. She has that "I'm a real freak in the sack" vibe going on.Anyone else think Dana Bash could be nominated in the women you find oddly attractive thread?

Can't get a much better endorsement than this.Strongly disagree with you on all counts here. As usual.
How does it bring him down to her level if he focuses on the issue as it relates to his prevailing narrative that she has a pattern of questionable decisions? It's much more relevant and less dirty than all the #### she is pulling on him.No
He said months ago he was tired of hearing about it. Bringing it up now takes him down to her level
Nonsense. Obama has his legacy independent of the next POTUS. If it's Hillary, we'll see a step backward. She'll fall on her face. If it's Bernie, Obama was the gateway forward. Either way, there's been progress from the vast abyss that Obama emerged from.I can't put my finger on the Obama-Clinton dynamic. I tend to agree with you but then I wonder why Biden didn't run if that's the case.
Obamas legacy now depends on Clinton becoming the next POTUS. Otherwise a great deal of what he accomplishes goes out the window under a republican.
well definitely never know the full story with them.
Could end VERY well. You're not using your imagination well enough. This will not end well.
My imagination is going nowhere near Dana Bash.Could end VERY well. You're not using your imagination well enough.

I do think it's problematic to bring it up so late in the game, but he could manage that. He could say that new information has come to light, etc. I don't know, feels like the Nationals sitting out Strasberg for the playoffs a few years ago because he reached a seasonal pitch count. You're going down with your best weapon not being used.
