It's cynical and manipulative for the purposes of the Democratic primary though.

However I really wonder who would have been foolish or obsessive enough to keep transcripts besides Hillary.

Yeah, I thought about that, but Trump did it in a very simplistic and ignorant way, like he does most things. At least Bernie understood some of the details. I don't know if Trump really knows anything about it. If I asked Trump the difference between Gaza and the West Bank right now, I strongly doubt he could tell me.

They just said on CNN that she required it or something like that - they're out there.

Trump also brought up the rejigging of NATO, at least from a cost sharing standpoint, and this was discussed at the Dem debate tonight as well.  Seems like every time Trump raises a new issue it first gets dumped on as absurd, and then a couple weeks later it is proven to be a legitimate item for discussion.

 
When Bernie said "we need a more evenhanded approach", Hillary could have said, "We've had that under Barack Obama." Which is true.

Her rider required the company to pay for someone to transcribe it.

 
There's a lot of folks around here that want Sanders to win the nomination - I'm one of those, but Sanders has already done this country a great service - if he wasn't running does anybody believe Hillary would be supporting some of the things she now claims to support?  $15 min wage, affordable college, and others?

I think he's changed the landscape for the better no matter the outcome

I write stuff down every day. But I never write something down in my work life unless I feel comfortable seeing it on a 6' x 6' screen in front of the jury at trial.

Wrong answer, she will not follow through on any of it.   Just saying what she needs to to win.

Yet simplistic and ignorant trumps anything Hillary brings to the table.  This is another issues that we'll look back on in 20-30 years and say, Bernie was right again.

That said, you may be right.  Electing someone who knows some trivia about Gaza is much more important than a few Jews and Palestinians getting mowed down.

Just playing.  Hey, curious about your thoughts on Bernie's strategy of laying off the email scandal.  Just insane in my opinion.  Such a legitimate issue to criticize her on, regardless of criminality.  Points to bad judgment and flawed decision making, one of his most effective avenues of attack against her (used it on her Iraq decision, Libya, emails would have wrapped it all up in a nice bow).  I know he wants to play the good guy and not look dirty, but it's not dirty at all raising that issue.  It's almost a requirement at this point, and his reluctance to do it looks like nepotism or plain old weakness.

How does it bring him down to her level if he focuses on the issue as it relates to his prevailing narrative that she has a pattern of questionable decisions?  It's much more relevant and less dirty than all the #### she is pulling on him.

I do think it's problematic to bring it up so late in the game, but he could manage that.  He could say that new information has come to light, etc.  I don't know, feels like the Nationals sitting out Strasberg for the playoffs a few years ago because he reached a seasonal pitch count.  You're going down with your best weapon not being used.

Obamas legacy now depends on Clinton becoming the next POTUS. Otherwise a great deal of what he accomplishes goes out the window under a republican.

Nonsense. Obama has his legacy independent of the next POTUS. If it's Hillary, we'll see a step backward. She'll fall on her face. If it's Bernie, Obama was the gateway forward. Either way, there's been progress from the vast abyss that Obama emerged from.

He took it out of his playbook. How does putting it back in fit his image of integrity?
Hint: It doesn't and that's why e is keeping it out, and showing he won't stoop to her level.

You may argue that it was not a smart play to remove it but that is a differnt discussion.

 
@DavidShuster: It's true, as @HillaryClinton said, that she won '06 NY race by unprecedented margin.  But that's because she ran unopposed.
