Yes, I :wub:  that car. I need to have some cargo space for my work but I am not a fan of big SUV's/minivans/trucks. Too big and less maneuverable. My subaru has great cargo in the back with the seats folded down and drives like a car.

OIC.  Love the Damned's live show but never really connected with any of their albums. 

The documentary is great though because they interviewed the still feuding members of the original lineup to dish some dirt.  Plus Mrs. Eephus gets about a second of screen time in a crowd scene.

 
It very well could be that the days are starting to blur and I have this spanning two days...but it felt like we got through 4-5 picks yesterday? Im on 10min skip, and I don't want to hold things up...but that felt like a lot for a day.

But I'm cool with whatever we do. Just means needing to take longer to sort and hipple my picks...an approach that doesn't always seem to lend itself to further discussion.

This is a good point. I made 4 picks yesterday. I don't want this to be a sprint to the finish...

I seriously put my album of the past few years on. But it's a protest album dealing specifically with what may be making you disgusted this morning, so I'm not able to escape really.

The Cramps - A Date With Elvis (1986)

not getting marooned without any rep from this lot, nuh-uh. 

i'm selecting their third studio album here, as i feel it best showcases all the power and glory that is Poison Ivy Rorschach.

Lux Interior and Ivy were the greatest co-working couple the Rock era ever produced ... carving out their own uniquely intoxicating niche - they've been called Punkabilly/Psychobilly/Gothabilly/Cowpunk/Garage Punk ... and late for dinner.

whatever the #### it is, they were the force behind it, and so transcendent that genre tags had to be invented ... starting in NYC in the mid 70s, and rocking and rolling and touring their asses off right up until Lux's death in '09 (R.I.P.).

they believed that rock was meant to be nothing but sleazy and filthy and sweaty and sexy and FUN.  the live shows were beyond epic - they lived and breathed this #### 24/7/365, like no other act i can recall. 

Lux had the head start on Danzig for the "Evil Elvis" shtick, yelping and crooning like the King on on a rancid hit of LSD ... neat set of pipes.

and his wife, Ivy, was the ultimate Psychobilly shredder ... man, could she pick like the devil ... an under-rated powerhouse who could melt a stage six million ways to Sunday. 

various players came and went out the band throughout those 33 years, but Lux and Ivy remained true to their mission statement, and were a constant reminder of what this whole "rock" thing was really all about.  and, yeah ... their love story was pretty friggin' special - lasted damn near a lifetime. 

top 5 band for me, no question  - let's get 'em on that Spotty shuffle 🔥

Cornfed Dames  Ivy's finest moment.  case closed. 

Can Your P*ssy Do The Dog?  subtlety was not their bag, man 😁

I'll fall on a sword. I have no clue what of his albums are good, which ones are great, and if he has any lemons. My library is littered with his music, but I don't think I've ever listened to an album of his cover-to-cover. His catalog has been at the top of my listen to list all week, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I think I'm over whelmed looking at it and seeing the amount of time needed to commit to it and I keep justifying not doing it.

I had two picks yesterday.  There were a lot of skips yesterday, especially on the other turn.

I have come around on NVs thinking and would vote for 3itc if that keeps the discussion humming more.  

However, that does take more work to keep it going, so if there isn't someone for that, then we should explore the other two.

As far as the weekend picking goes I'm up for whatever the people running it want to do. Going to a bar-b-que on Sat for most of the day but can work around that until the alcohol takes over.

"Blue Collar" They never made another song like this. The lyrics are dumb (no dumber than Styx' "Blue Collar Man" or most of Springsteen's, though), but the music is jazzy and I love the guitar sound.

Actually Randy Bachman was always trying to introduce "jazzy" touches to their albums. Not sure if this is a close enough fit to "Blue Collar", but try "Lookin' Out For #1" off of "Head On".
