Desert Island Album Draft - 15th Anniversary Edition - 50 Rounds in the books, sign up now for KP's listening program (3 Viewers)

Let's begin to catch up.  Anthem Rock Nick Cave is my favorite Nick Cave, but when it comes to selecting his best album, one stands tall.  This is one of those albums that is best listened to from beginning to end.

24.04:  The Boatman's Call, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Into Your Arms

Idiot Prayer

1997

wait ...am I going crazy?  Didn't you pick "Fly Like An Eagle"?
I accidentally wrote that, then switched it immediately.  I was always planning on taking Book of Dreams, but I had the other one playing.  They are both great, but I like the depth of Book much better.

I did a ton of work earlier today (and dicked around on the board whenever I got a chance for a break) to get ready for our drive by graduation tomorrow but my wife went back up to her parents lake house for the night so I am hoping there are shenanigans here tonight
well after 2 days of hangover recovery ...

No booze shenanigans here, but asking for a friend- how long would you trust a vape cartridge before tossing it?

:oldunsure:

Hmmm...honestly can't say. I have never had one long enough to have any reason to be suspicious but I would guess the shelf life is pretty long. At worst it just wouldn't be potent IMO.

I looked at the Singles soundtrack earlier, and I think a handful of songs aren't on spotify.  Unfortunately one wasn't Battle of evermore.
The Pumpkins, Motherlovebone and Mudhoney songs are greyed out. I picked songs that were on Spotify or I may have added Cloe Dancer.

Just remembered the obvious island choice..

Scilly Cay, Anguilla.

Basically a pile of rocks that got covered up with sand in a harbor in Anguilla (my happy place, where we got married and have vacationed a dozen or more times). Also, a restaurant that serves lobster after a few hours or rum punches. Massive, delicious, potent, rum punches. Tbh, I don't even know if we've ever actually got to the lobster part. Rum punches.

I considered Fela too~! "Zombie", specifically!

Ended up not having him on my list 'cause the best way to do it would be with a compilation, given the nature of his releases, but Zombie is my JAM. Seriously, so ####### good - playlist flow be damned. :lmao:
Frequently played in the 4 household, too.

Aerosmith - Love in an Elevator - Joe Perry's solo is the best part of about 75% of Aerosmith's songs.

Talking Heads Crosseyed & Painless - I saw them on this tour in 1980.  The ushers were being real ##### about dancing which put a damper on my memories.  Angelique Kidjo's full cover album of Remain In Light was one of the best of that small ilk.

Daft Punk - Face to Face - Definitely a repeat. If I'm gonna dance, I like my beats to have a little more je nais se quoi.

Stevie - Missrta Know-It-All - Wish this was on my island.  Mrs. E has a saying "music is my joy" which seems fitting here.

CSNY - Black Queen - Love Y but have always been meh on the other three letters.  Glad they're all still alive and kicking.

Novos Bianos - like very much.  Favorited

I think clogging would be a bigger issue but you can always blast it with a hair dryer if that happens.

Sounds like a lovely spot to blast IDLES in your underwear

not a big deal, just a surprise when I saw as I scrolled for something

not complaining, but keeping the sheet up requires some level of diligence
I REALLY appreciate what you guys are doing with that and the play list big time.  Thank you.

I really thought I caught it before anyone saw.  My bad.  Sorry.

Am I Shuff' Enuff?
For a second there I thought this was the oddest spotlight ever.
I thought the same thing.  Don't want to spotlight, but I immediately thought of a guy who first came to my attention on 2x2 inch square piece of record sleeve back in the 70s.  No, not Lobo.

ETA: We're probably thinking of two different albums.
