Dispute with property manager- advice needed (1 Viewer)

It sounds like you are on the correct path to resolution.

1 - Ask property manager

2 - Post on random message board

3 - Give up

they informed me they don't send emails because people don't check them. Nor do they call their tenants
They are morons. They should send an email for the simple fact that they are traceable and provide proof of delivery.

I think my arguement will stand up in court

they have no proof of attempted contact

You're #### out of luck.  They already talked to you once.  It is your responsibility to keep badgering them til you got your parking permit.  At least that's what I tell my tenants.  Good luck getting your money back just won't happen.

They probably painted the notice on your door using the same color your door was already painted. No where in the lease does it say they can't do that.

that is the parking section of my lease agreement

if you refer to part L

it says 10 days notice must be given

this corresponds with the guidelines established here

https://texastowingcompliance.org/the-only-reasons-vehicles-maybe-towed-from-apartment-complexes-in-texas/

10 days notice must be given in writing either served notice or certified mail

considering all this it was definitely an illegal tow although I would appreciate any legal insight that could be provided

Edit- yes my car was in a designated resident space and not inoperable

They claim all they do is put a notice on the door

that the wind could blow away or anyone could pick up

that is certainly not a professional way to relay info to your tenants
Shirley, you can't be serious? What do you suggest?

That's only if it has no current license or registration. I interpret this to mean a state license plate and proper registration with the state.

I have plates on my ca

regardless there is no roof of informing me I would be towed

They have our phone numbers and emails on file

they could put the notices in our mailbox when the carrier comes

a letter on a door outside is not enough notification

I understand that.  What I'm saying is that they may not have been required to give you a ten day notice because the portion of your lease that you showed seemed to limit such notice to a situation where somebody has left a car with expired tags on the lot.

My tags have been expired for two weeks

i just got the lease and inspection a few days ago to go register it

To be fair, you're both idiots.
There are many like you here who rather than read the posts you merely try to find some mistake I have made.

you only do this because you know I'm far more intelligent than you are and desire the satisfaction.

i find it comical and if i was a lesser man I would put you on ignore

Everyone points out your mistakes. A lot of mistakes. You are hoping to find one person that agrees with you so you can hang off his nuts.

Also, you're an idiot.

So what are we thinking here.   Maybe start off with a $5 million lawsuit and settling for a minimum of $1 million?

in the time it took to look up and post all of this, you could have done and filed your taxes.
