Divisional Round Game Thread - Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (2 Viewers)

i think arizona's only chance is if boldin gets healthy.
They just won by 20 at Carolina w/o Boldin, but now they need him to have any chance to beat Philly at home? Okay.
Philly's already beaten Arizona by twenty. Home field will give Arizon a shot, but the beating has to still be in their heads. It'll be interesting to see what the line opens at.
I would not lend too much credence to regular season results... the Cardinals are en fuego right now. It's gonna be a GOOD game, because the Eagles aren't exactly muy frio.
The Eagles defense is >>>>>> to the Panthers defense.Cardinals will get shut down.
Eh.. not really. Better, sure.Panthers were 12-4. The Cardinals DESTROYED them in Charlotte. I'm just saying, it should be good.

I'm pretty DIH about the NFC Championship right now. The AFC game is probably gonna be another 20 point BAL-PIT snoozer.

Really dumb . 3rd and 1 to 3rd and 16. Give the NYg one more shot. WHY?

Seriously...another reason to get lambasted by a media all to ready to give you ****

I'd say close to pick' em.
Really?
What do you think the line is? You have a 9-6-1 team vs. a 9-7 team. Philly has the pedigree and gets more respect being from the NFC East. Zona is at home. It looks like pretty close to a pick em game to me. Dont tell me you think Philly is a 4-6 pt favorite?
I bet it opens around three but ends up being about 4.5.

i forgot the game would be in arizona. that does make a big difference but i still like philly. carolina was overrated all year. they got 3 gimmie games from the nfc west and and squeaked out a bunch of other wins. philly is the real deal. could be a good game though.
lordy, cards shuts down, and so...gimmies by Carolinaphilly is for real... whatever.the giants limped in... and the Vikes, well, were the Vikes. philly freaking tied the Bungles. lost to Washington amidst their collapse.the point is, the rhetoric goes both ways... dont' think this is a lock. but typical gumbas and guidos are already making travel arrangements for tampa...game is going to be much tighter than you think....

It's up already.PHI -2.5O/U 50.5

One of the funniest things I've ever seen a player do there. Good for you McNabb.
Not funny.
It was stupid but I liked it. Of course, it'll prob get blown out of proportion by Eagles fans/media
There will be a handful of fans and media who get carried away with it. That small % will make all philly media and fans look stupid
Philly fans get a bad rap. They won. They will be happy. McNabb being a moron will be a minor sidelight if that.

okay NOW that's the ballgame!

that was probably the worst 2-minute drill drive I've ever seen. Everything in bounds and they never seemed to even to try to get out and then they basically drop the ball off for the Eagles to pick up.

Anyhow, congrats Eagles. It will now be less annoying living around here :lmao:

Phone thing is no biggie, and I can understand getting excited, etc. But IF...just IF...NYG had thrown a bomb after that and cut it to 5 I'm not laughing.

Who cares, though. ON TO ARIZONA!!

5 NFC Championship games in 10 years. Nice job McNabb/Reid!

Anytime a New York team falls it's a good day.. :lmao: On another note, those of you already picking the Eagles for the Superbowl, keep in mind that the Cardinals were picked to get destroyed by the Panthers too. They play the games for a reason. Next week will be fun. Go Cards..

Andy Reid certainly disproves the belief that black is slimming...

but I love the Eagles winning this one and knocking out the second of the two division opponents in the past three weeks.

we could be looking at a bloodbath in the NFC Championship game (in Arizona's favor), IMO...for whatever reason, Westbrook isn't the same player he was earlier in the season (be it wear & tear &/or injuries) & McNabb isn't near the player he was in his prime...& i don't believe Philly's D can hang with the Cardinals explosive offense (with or without Boldin)...if Arizona's D keeps playing lights-out, this game won't be close

Is this schtick? Have you seen how unbelievable the Eagles defense has been? And did you take a look at the score when the Eagles and Cardinals played just a few weeks ago?

Taking out the Cowboys and the Giants AND going to a team that the Eagles blew out this year is way more than you can ask for.

Yes, Arizona is a very good team - that's why they are in the NFCCG. But if you had to pick ANY team in the NFC for the Eagles to face next week, that'd be it.

No slight to AZ at all. All teams are capable if you're playing in January. Philly is an early favorite - amazing.

As much as I dislike the Baltimore Ravens, I like the Eagles. There's something really likable about Andy Reid, McNabb, Westbrook, Tra Thomas, Runyon, Dawkins et al. These guys are grizzled veterans. They've been through the wars.

What does that have to do with the Ravens?

This is the mentality I am banking on, the more people think the Eagles will be playing the team they destroyed a few weeks ago, the better...

The Bills got nothing on them...

just think if you woulda won 3 more of those, you could be the Buffalo Bills. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't sleep. Really looking forward to these two games.Philly 14Giants 27SD 3Steelers 20 :hophead: :lmao: :lmao:
Think that the scores in both games will be much closer and give you more to watch. I think that the Eagles are going to go to the wire with the Giants and win.In the other game, I think that Pittsburg has been living on the edge all season against a very tough schedule and the Chargers will surprise winning 24 to 20. Unbelievably all four road teams win this weekend.
Third consecutive visiting team win. Can teh Steelers buck this trend?

The Eagles are a bunch of guys I really like. The Ravens are a bunch of guys I really DON'T like. (Although the guy I hated the most, Billick, is gone.)

 I guess you dont live in Philly. What makes Reid and McNabb likeable? If you said this Eagles D is really likeable, I would agree with you. Westbrook and Runyon seem to be good guys as well (Thomas is not very public so no oppinion on him).

And the Eagles are the same team? The Birds were considered OUT of the playoffs at that point. What are you talking about?

Just wondering where the Ravens qualifier came from. Seemed like a strange thing to say when talking about the Eagles. I see now.I don't really know of anyone that unlikeable on the Ravens, but I would expect you to hate their guts as a Steelers fan.
