Divisional Round Game Thread - Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (2 Viewers)

Geez, up 2 scores. Wind at their backs. Carney having a very rough day. GMen down to 1 TO if they lose this challenge. 5 playing really well. Loving this now...don't let up!

I don't know about that challenge. He appeared short, and you might cost yourself a timeout that you might need later. Just go for it on 4th and inches. I am sure Brandon Jacobs can pick that up.
yeah, real dumb call. Certainly nothing to make them overturn the spot. i wonder if Coughlin will come under fire after this game for a couple of strange calls today

Did it seem that the ref was about to bust out laughing as he announced the call was correct?

I had the Steelers winning the super bowl but I think the Eagles are a terrible matchup for them. Eagles will beat them.
I think the Cardinals have a solid chance of beating the Eagles (assuming Reid and Morningweg can hang on here)Not a lock.. solid chance

yeah. "The ruling on the field was CORRECT" :loll:It would seem that he's had enough of Coughlin's histrionics.-QG

Couldn't have went better for the Eagles there. Huge stop and Coughlin stupidly wastes a timeout. I think that was ballgame right there.

Great tackle on the open field on Westbrook. Giants need more than great tackles though. They need points.

Earlier this year, some people suggested that Eli might be better than his big brother. (I won't mention any names.) Well, with Peyton down by 9 in the 4th quarter, I wouldn't be all that concerned. It's not great, but you know he can do this. With Eli, even with a better team around him? I'd be VERY concerned.
I'll puke if Eli gets another lucky break.

As tempting as going for it on 4th had to have been for Philly there, they had to punt. The Giants are now down 9, pinned deep in their own territory, going into the wind, and the clock is not their friend.

We certainly have to make it past this one to discuss, but if you asked me before last night i would have said the Eagles definately would rather play the Cards over the Panthers. The Cards looked great, but that thanksgiving game with against Ari, it seemed like Jim Johnson knew exactly what to do to rattle Warner.

Right now, the Giants could score 2 TDs in the final 11 minutes, and the Eagles would just need a FG to tie. Giants have a very low probability of winning now.
Uh, what? That would make it 25-23, unless you think the Giants plan on not kicking the XPs. :lmao:

haha I know I deleted that post real quick, but aparently not quick enough. :stalker:

i think arizona's only chance is if boldin gets healthy. even then, i still don't like their chances.

why didn't they qb sneak it? morons.

Gilbride has run one of the worst offensive gameplans in a playoff game I have ever seen. :hot:

I never understood why teams would consider him to be their head coach. Well maybe they won't anymore.

Lets not get carried away. Zona is playing at a very high level right now too. Their D is playing very well as well. Not to the caliber of Philly's D but at a high level anyway. Zona has an offensive advantage and Philly has a defensive advantage. Zona has the home field advantage. Should be an interesting game.

A first down or two and this clock will dwindle....gotta run here. Can they run when they have to? Or trust in McNabb to pick up completions?
