Do the Lions have -ANY- shot of beating the Vikes? (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
104 people left in my suicide pool. Exactly half of them took Minnesota this week.

I wasn't one of them, since I used them already. I would love to see the Lions pull off a shocker, but if they played 100 times in this exact situation, Detroit might win 3 or 4 times. I don't even see the point in holding out hope for the upset. The Vikes are excellent, and they are home off a bye week. The Lions are putrid, and they played at Seattle last week.

I honestly think the Vikings would win even if Favre threw six INTs.

Any given Sunday....and the Lions ALWAYS play the Vikings tough. If I had lots of money riding on it, I'd bet Vikings...but don't fool yourself into thinking that the Lions have no shot either.

Safest suicide pick EVER? Nah, that'd be the 12-1 2004 New England Patriots vs. the 2-11 2004 Miami Dolphins.

The Lions havent won in Minny since 1995 if that makes you feel better.
It's 1997 but at this point it is meaningless. Let's just say Scott Mitchell, Barry Sanders, and Johnnie Morton led the way.I think Minnesota would have to turn the ball over 10 times for the Lions to win.

I am saving Minnesota for the Bears in two weeks and playing Miami vs TB. The Ravens would be an excellent choice also.

My next three weeks are as follows:

Miami over TB

Pitt over KC

Minn over Chicago

That was the first week of my playoffs....and the LAST time I owned Tom Brady as my fantasy QB

December 2, 2007 disagreesbut yes, this match tends to be close even last year - the one where the Lions went 0-16, it took a FG with 4:32 left for the Vikings to win it.

13-0 Broncos at 5-8 Giants on MNF was a bad one as well. Kent Graham was the starting NYG QB.

If Favre, Peterson and Allen all get hurt on their first plays from scrimmage, I think the Lions have a 3% chance of winning the game.
