Most of the playoff positions were wrapped up - rn there’s only 18 teams still alive, which seems lower than normal?
Also, a metric ton of WR1s missed time this year or are hurt rn. For explosive week winners you’ve got Chase and that’s about it.
There were explosive weeks that won championships per usual, though - Tee, Nabors, BTJ.
All that said, going to one team getting a bye and letting a janky 7 seed in did not improve the product. MNF playoff games are silly.
But no way those greedy ****s will ever do the right thing. TNF is a disaster & they’ll never give it up. Next year Christmas is on a Thursday, probably give us a triple header nobody wants.
A triple header nobody wants but everyone will watch.
I've avoided most of the football the last 11 days. I like all things in moderation. Besides, there are a lot of bad football teams out there, and it's not worth my time to invest in watching bad games.
Denver v Cinci was a heckuva game, with meaningful implications.
Exhibit A of bad coaching decisions. 1st & goal at the 6, 1:39 left, Denver was down to 1 timeout. This should have been automatic:
- 1:39 - first and goal - KNEEL Denver uses last timeout
- 1:36 - second and goal - KNEEL Run 40 seconds off clock
- 0:54 - third and goal - KNEEL Run 40 seconds off clock
- 0:12 - fourth and goal - GW FG
- 20-17 with 10 seconds left
Instead they run Chase Brown and have to use their own timeout because of an injury.
I wish that was the only bad coach's decision we saw in that end game. It was so bad I thought they were trolling each other.
Also, regardless of what it's for, ain't no way either of those teams (if they even manage to get in) is winning 3 straight road playoff games.
But I'm starting to sound like a curmudgeon yelling at clouds so I'll just agree with you and say yup,
my loss not seeing all the good football that was on this weekend. Yep.
