Donald Driver just got carted off the field (1 Viewer)

Way to be overly dramatic. :shrug:

Driver was driven to the lockerroom early on a cart. He probably won't play again tonight but it's doubtful to be anything too serious.

 
I didn't get him on my team this year, but I am a big fan of Donald Driver. I hope it's nothing serious and he makes it back. This guy is a stud and seems like a great guy on top of it.

Calm down chief. The cart came out and they took Driver to the lockerroom. While on the cart, he slammed his fist on the dashboard. To me that screams, trouble. Don't get me wrong, I hope it is nothing serious. However, I did pickup Jones earlier tonight.

Calm down chief. The cart came out and they took Driver to the lockerroom. While on the cart, he slammed his fist on the dashboard. To me that screams, trouble. Don't get me wrong, I hope it is nothing serious. However, I did pickup Jones earlier tonight.

Could be something and it could be nothing...what I didn't like was he didn't look like he could put any weight on it.

I don't get how some leagues let WW pick-ups happen all the time and anytime. My league's it costs money and teams usually play 80% with the teams they DRAFT.....so teabag

Nobody knows for sure if it is serious or not...but for those of us watching....if we had to guess serious or not serious...after seeing it, the high majority would say it is serious before they would say it isn't.

Looked like the guy tackling him landed on that ankle/foot. Did not look like your normal "sprain", if it is a sprain.

:thumbdown: It looked like he couldn't put any weight on it. It could have been the initial pain of a twisted ankle and he gets over it quickly, but my initial thought was that it doesn't look good.

I thought it got stuck in the grass, and he turned to run upfield, and his foot did not release right away...just what I saw....they didn't have any good slow motion replays of it.

Yeah, you're prolly right, but the melodramatic nancies on this board always think the near death player's career is over. I think Driver stretched his foot. It hurt. Nothing snapped. He'll be fine. Sore for a week, recovering for another, starting the opener. :thumbup:

I watched it frame-by-frame. Looks like his left ankle got rolled up on when he was tackled.It got twisted backwards and planted in the turf in a very awkward position. Looked horrible, honestly.

 
Finally got to this play on the DVR after a late start. Replays aren't great but I'm not liking this one. Not to fan the fire with wild speculation, but I will anyway... ;) . Hopefully just a sprain, but won't be surprised to hear broken leg later tonight.

Me either...seemed like one of those quick snaps. Plus, since I drafted him that means worst-case scenario. ;)

Man that would suck. That would really suck. I hope he got lucky and avoided that. Have him on 2 Dynasty squads....at least one I drafted James Jones in the 3rd round of the rookie draft this year....man.Driver will not be replaced easily though.
 
Chris Myers just reported it is NOT an ankle and is a foot injury. MRIs still being done, more will be known postgame.

 
Just watched the replay...looks like a foot sprain. But the way Driver looked driving off was even more concerning.

It looks serious.

They said they are looking at his foot now and still running tests. They probably won't know until after the game.
 
wonder if we will have to listen to 3 weeks of SportsCenter discussion about whether FAVRE will retire now that he has NO OFFENSIVE WEAPONS!
