I think I would pick McMichael for 4 reasons:1. if you're a Gates owner, you're guaranteed to have a starting TE every week2. McMichael at least has a history as a productive pass-catching TE (even though he's past his prime by now)3. the Texans give up more fantasy points to TEs, on average4. San Diego is down to Patrick Crayton and Seyi Ajirotutu as their starting WRs. Meanwhile, all of the Texan WRs are active.
McMichael has already actively subbed for Gates with Floyd and Nanee out and was blatantly ignored by Rivers. #4 doesnt hold up. #1-2 arent particularly meaningful IMHO and #3 is defintiely a helpful stat; though any position is a good play vs the Texans. Again, I'd say go with Dressen; pretty clear choice here IMHO."The Waterboy"

Just to jump in here...are we taking Dreesen over Olsen too??? Tough call today on the TE's and my opponent is pretty stacked today...need all the points I can get!!

Houston targets their TE 7-8 times a game...in this game I think that is the minimum...Dreesen gets 6-7...figure he catches 4...gets 50 yards and I think he scores...that I think is his floor...I picked him up early this week in every league and plugging him in for Daniels, Finley, Celek, Davis, Lee,...pretty much anyone other than Witten and Gates...gotta play Gates if he's active...but I've been wrong before so roll with your own Gut

Also a Gates owner, debating between McMichael and Dreeson. I think I will roll with Dreesen as well. Just gut feeling at this point, and with the SD bye next week, McMichael will have no shot helping my team next week.
I'm rolling the dice with Dreessen over Heath Miller. Got to gamble sometimes.
ETA: I also own Gates

I'm a Zack Miller owner. Picked Donald Lee up earlier in the week, but just dropped him for Dressen.
Here's my reasons for choosing Dressen.
- McMichael available, but it's not the TE position Rivers looks for, it's Gates specifically. I don't think its a "play" system, it's a comfort & timing with Gates. So I don't think McMichael gets the same attention or opportunities.
- SD is bad against TEs, and good against WRs.
- Houston calls plays for the TE, whether Owen is in or not. Dressen has been targeted often in the red zone
- this game SHOULD be a shoot out.

He's not available in my league. I might reconsider Dressen if I had the Olsen option.

Dressen for now, Moeaki probably best next week, but weather for the KC game sounds terrible - expect a lot of rushing attempts.

Hey guys, think I might have tweaked my rotator cuff from patting myself on the back so much for going the shark route and picking up Dreessen instead of Randy McMichael.
Anyone know a good stretch to loosen up my shoulder? It's killing me.

Dressen had a nice day for me (PPR league), but not near as good as McMichael.....OOPS. Casey got involved a bit and Schaub went to him for a little while instead of Dressen.
