I've watched a fair bit of tape on him. He reminds me of Brandon Jacobs from the Giants way back when. big, tall, physical guy. not super fast, but tough to bring down.
I think you might be thinking of something else. Steele is nothing like Jacobs size wise. Steele is not tall (6') and is 35 lbs lighter than Jacobs. Jacobs was 6'4" and 265 lbs. These aren't that same type guys.

Better comp IMO is a former Chief from the Vermeil era... Larry Johnson.
I have seen a Marion Barber comp, and that seems like the best to me.

I looked into his profile and found this ... RAS Score 8.90

While his 40 time was not great, his splits were more impressive and the 3-cone drill was respectable for a RB
I own him ... but starting Zamir White vs Panthers #32 Def over him this week

Same situation but Steele over White. If Zamir blows up this week, that's on me lol.

I can't go another Sunday of watching that guy go for 3.2 YPC lol.

Do not let me talk you into anything but Pierce is quoted as saying he wants to get White twenty touches this week.

From Raidersbeat:

As far as White’s role in the offense going forward, it seems like Pierce is still committed to him.

“I’m gonna keep pumping him up,” Pierce said. “Our goal is to get 20+ touches with him. That was the goal this week, didn’t happen. That’s going to be the goal this week and every week while he’s the starting running back and I’m here.”

That statement from Pierce should come as big news to fantasy footballers as White is a player that should have a high ceiling in the weeks ahead.

barber is also a fair comparable. Blount too. Steeles biggest advantage is that hes real tall. if he falls forward he gains an extra 2 yards. but thats also a disadvantage at times too.

I think it will be fun to see how he performs. I like a lot of what I see but he is slow. but what he lacks in speed he makes up for in power.

its a completely different dynamic with him in there. lots of unpredictibility.
