Dynasty start-up mock draft (1 Viewer)

I also think the MFL convenience factor plays a little...I want to avoid ESPN because I have no leagues on there. I have a couple on Fleaflicker and Yahoo and MFL.

Fleaflicker is great for this kind of relaxed, competitive but free environment. It rolls over the rosters and lets you do a rookie draft each year, lineups are easy to set (I actually like their lineup setting page better than MFL...Yahoo's is better than MFL too IMO)

Who's up right now?

Glad we're getting proper drafting as I was totally losing track of things while at work. Ended up using pen and paper.

Are we just trying to complicate this thing as much as possible and make it take forever? Keep the draft here and if we need to move it somewhere go Yahoo. MFL is the ugliest looking GUI I have ever seen. Yahoo has free live scoring and a great interface. But keep the draft here. Now #### and pick. If you guys keep leaving value all over the board I'm going WR-WR again.

:)

I'll let someone else worry about moving us to MFL if they want to. Here or anyplace guys like is good with me. The OP listing works for my (neo-ludite) cyber talent (if Go Deep is willing to keep it current like he has - and thanks for that!).

Its now:

Ookook at 6.04

Then, 6.05 is Mr. Peterson

6.06 is me (Catbird) and

6.07 is Gandalas ...

Yes?

YES!I've only ever used ESPN and MFL but would prefer any software to draft.

We talked about Don's bad team he took over, while we are waiting, let's see your best dynasty roster...

Will post mine in a few
Well, the league I am commish of is in my signature. I was runner-up in that one last season, and have a nice young core of players. My RBs are my strong point, with Ray Rice, Beanie Wells, Ronnie Brown as my RB3, and then a choice of either OAK RB or McGahee as my RB4. My strongest lineup, however, is probably the 60-round IDP PPR team I just finished drafting a few weeks back. Extreme Dynasty

Somehow, I ended up with quality starters at every position. The unique thing about that league is that there are 2 flex players, and QBs CAN be started as flex players. So you can start up to 3 QBs per week, and QBs made up like 75% of the top-25 last season. I managed to snag Romo, Cutler, and Garrard as my QB3. At RB, I have Gore, Beanie Wells, Jonathan Stewart, plus Hardesty, Hightower, and the 2 SEA RBs not named Forsett. At WR I have Jennings, Steve Smith (NYG), and Chad Ochocinco. At TE, I have Vernon Davis, with Cooley as my backup. Kicker is Crosby, and my TD is the Jets. I have 3 top-10 LBs, IMO, with Ruud, Puzloskny, and Vilma, and 2 top Safeties in Berry and Delmas.

All in all, I expect to compete for the title this season for sure, and my team is also young enough at the key positions to stay competitive for a while. Gore is getting up there, but I have good depth to replace him if Hardesty turns out like I am expecting.

My OLDEST dynasty I still have I have had for 5 seasons now, I believe. Columbus Destroyers

I managed to miss the playoffs last season despite having the 2nd-most points in the league (unlucky scheduling). I have 2 top-5 RBs there with MJD and Gore, with the 2 OAK RBs and Hardesty. At WR I have Roddy White, Nicks, and Ochocinco, plus Mike Wallace. At TE I have Jason Witten and Zach Miller (OAK). Kicker is Crosby and I have the Broncos and Chargers Defense. QB is probably my weakest position, but I have Eli Manning, Chad Henne, and David Garrard. I also expect this team to compete this season as well for a title.

My other team actually won the title last season, but it is only a keep 4-league, not a dynasty.

I am in quite a few dynasty leagues, most of them are very competitive and tough. The one I am posting below is not the most active league, and is also only 10 teams, so the talent is not quite thin as other leagues.

We start 2 QBs and get 6 pts for passing TDs, so QBs rule the league. I have won the title 3 years in a row.

QB:

Rodgers, P Manning, Schaub, Bulger

RB:

MJD, Rice, P Thomas, Charles, Lynch, Bradshaw, McGahee, Westy

WR:

AJ, Calvin, Jennings, DJax, Smith (CAR), Welker, Nicks, Harvin, Doucet, Schilens, B Tate, D Thomas, Naanee

TE:

Daniels, Z Miller, Nelson, Z Miller

PK:

Gostkowski

Picks:

1.02, 1.10, 2.09, 2.10

ookook will take Kenny Britt.

Feel free to email me at 'ookook123@gmail.com' whever I am up or PM me here and I will get an email notice.

My best dynasty team is a Zealots league, 56, where I won it all last year...without Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers

Donovan McNabb

NE Backups

Matt Moore

VY

Chris Johnson

Ray Rice

Jamaal Charles

Darren Sproles

Marques Colston

Roddy White

Devin Hester

James Jones

Jabar Gaffney

CAR Receivers not named Smith

Jermichael Finley

Owen Daniels/James Casey

Zach Miller (JAC)/Marcedes Lewis

Fendi Onobun

And then solid LBs and Mario/Tuck at DE.

Please post picks in the format

Round#.Pick# PLayer, Position Team

i.e. 1.01 Chris Johnson, RB TEN

It's not difficult, and the rest of us don't have to go back to page one every time to figure out which pick it is ;)

6.5 - Matt Forte, RB, CHI

I passed on a 3rd RB when I selected D.Bryant over Felix Jones but I feel that I didn't lose too much by waiting to get Forte. I know he had a down year last year but hes only 24 and I believe he will bounce back. I think Martz will fall in love with Forte's skill set and it will help his fantasy stats.

6.06 AHMAD BRADSHAW, RB, NYG

With three fragile RBs (Mendenhall, Best and Felix) to staff my 2 slots and flex, I thought I'd grab a bye week and injury fill in 4th (injury-prone) RB. Pulling as many RBs out of the pool as possible makes them more valuable on the market, no? Tough strategy leaving my 3rd WR slot, not to mention starting QB, until round 7 - but isn't that half the point of this exercise? I think you can find more unexpected breakout WRs in the later rounds than RBs - or so I am betting.

Thats a very good team, probably could use a 3rd WR, but awesome either way.I used to be in 6-7 dynasty leagues. Zealots were far and away the best ones, so i quit all of the other ones a long time ago. Now i am in just four Zealots leagues. Im just going to post my offense.

Yeah, I was looking for a 3rd WR this offseason and settled for LaFell and Gaffney, Gaffney for this year and LaFell for the future.

Of course, I can start all 3 top RBs, Colston/Roddy, and then Daniels and Finley, both of whom are probably better than any WR3.

You have to start at least 3 WR's...i think. ?i could be wrong, but i thought the minimum requirements were 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 TE + 1 flex?

Wow, the RB love in this draft is truly mind-bending. Taking guys that might never pan out over established studs at other positions.

I was totally going to go RB this pick, but the run at the position has simply made other positions more valuable.

6.7 - Jason Witten, TE5, DAL

A top 2 TE 2 and 3 years ago would have been fighting for the top spot last season as well if a few more of those 94 receptions would have gone for TDs. As it is, I figure he will regain his top-3 status this season, and presents amazing value in the 6th round.

Nope2-3 RBs2-4 WRs1-2 TEsSo what you really get is 4 flexes. (or 5 if you only need 1 RB, but for some reason I think you need 2)ETA: nice pick Gandalas. In a Z-league, I would have taken him at 5.04 :lmao:

6.08 - Chad Ochocinco, WR, CIN

The run on RBs has reached ridiculous levels that taking one here would be counter-productive. With two young receivers in the mix already, I wanted a solid vet to compliment them in my starting trio and think I got great value in the process.

Ok how do I enter draft drunnkmqnd on on iphone

Have no idea what is going on have no NFL account WTF?

I think the scoring is wrong on a few things on the MFL site:

The negative 2 points for INT and Fumbles are not set up.

For kickers, right now you have Field Goals counting double. Basically, it is 3 points per field goal made, PLUS .1 points per yard of field goals made.

So right now Bironas is the #27 scorer from last season, with a few 30 point games on his history. If this is the case of how the scoring is supposed to be, then that is a little weird. Right now, a 45 yard field goal is worth 7.5 points.

Also, you have receiving 2-pointers only worth 1 point - shouldnt that be 2? Passing 2-pointers as well. I only ask because rushing 2-pointers are worth 2, but the other 2 are only worth 1 apiece.

Also, it looks like the total points allowed for team defense is off. It is only that you get 10 points for a shutout, and 0 points for 1-28 points allowed. I think you just need to fix the point range for that rule from 0-0 to 0-19.

Thanks, I will check the scoring.

Love this 1993 era interface. How do I actually enter the the draft? Is there a Dragon's Lair type lasredisc dialogue?

Man you guys just killed my draft board...Ocho, Forte, Bradshaw, Britt...jeez.

6.09 Marion Barber, RB DAL

Only guy I've got left! Actually, I really like Barber, and the rumblings here in Dallas are that he was injured all of last year and will be going to his 4th quarter pounding role plus goalline, and then some receiving. I see 1000/10 as quite possible in the Dallas offense, and then he could move on to a better place next year

Been playing PPR much? :lmao: Dynasty is about the future and stockpiling RBs in this system is encouraged (e.g., flex).

I will add the other emails tomorrow, but I took welker and ronnie brown went next, so we are at the corner.

I loaded them in on the front page. After the last pick in the 6th round, i am going to stop posting on the front page, if thats OK with everyone?
