They'd been giving away around $70K in previous weeks when the contest was $27 to enter. They bumped it to $40 last week and it was kind of a disaster. They're going back to $27 this week.Do you see the Millionaire Maker being sustainable financially for DK? I mean if there eating hundreds of thousands of dollars every week how can they continue it? I know I've done my best to help them sustain it as I've dropped all of my HTH/50/50 winnings on it so far, about $500. I'm playing at most one lineup a week in it from now on. Still think it's a lot of fun even though it's cost me some $$.Maurile Tremblay said:Millionaire Maker got 52,895 players. They're giving away $384,200, which is over $7 per entry.
I think it's kind of stupid to have top prize be $1 million when the entire prize pool is only $2.5 million. If they made top prize $500K like FanDuel does, it'd be a lot better and they'd get more people to enter.
But as long as they keep losing only around $70K per week (about $1 per entry), that should be perfectly sustainable for them.
