FBG Contest Team Status Updates Page (4 Viewers)

i am at 136.55 with j. brown (-3) left. looks like i have to sweat it out. hopefully the cut line no higher than 130 otherwise i am probably done.

149.8 and done. I was nervous, but looking through the thread, it looks like this'll hold up. Reggie W is da man! And I had a Drew Bennet sighting. 1st contribution this year, I think. Hopefully, on to next week.

Turk usually posts in like the 5 AM or so timeslot - hard workin' guy, that Turk.

Here's the (I think) full percentages of dudes who are goin' Monday night. Hopefully all of these are teams already ahead of me and somehow I'm safely in

Alex Smith 8.6%

Matt Hasselbeck 4.8

Michael Robinson 2.9

Shaun Alexander 4.8

Frank Gore 2.9 (last year this woulda been like 67%)

Maurice Morris 3.0

Arnaz Battle 14.4

Nate Burleson 2.8

DJ Hackett 4.1

Deion Branch 3.5

Darrell Jackson 4.4

Bryan Gilmore 0.6

Josh Brown 11.6

Joe Nedney 0.7

Ashely Lelie 3.2

Bobby Engram 5.5

Marcus Pollard 2.9

Vernon Davis 5.0

Josh Brown 11.6

Joe Nedney 0.7

San Francisco Defense 8.4

Seattle Defense 1.4

That totals up to 107.8% btw, meaning that there would be an average of 1 player per team left.

Let me know if I missed anyone or if I got any of these wrong.

its funny last year i got eliminated by 0.1pts in the last week of cutdowns in this contest, when josh brown kicked like 5 fg in bad weather. this year my hopes are riding on his leg. hopefully he wont miss tomarrow.

Survived the cut with 165.1 this week. Sitting overall at #210, but with the low scoring this week, I should be around #190 after this week finishes. After 10 weeks, here are the amounts of weeks I have used each player:

QB - Garrard (5), Brees (4), Leinart (1)

RB - ADP (9), McGahee (9), Caddy (2), Jerome Harrison (2), Betts (1)

WR - Colston (8), Welker (8), Santonio Holmes (7), Lee Evans (4), Crayton (4), Drew Bennett (2)

TE - Heath Miller (8), Eric Johnson (4), Ben Watson (2)

K - Folk (5), Kasay (3), Longwell (2)

D - Ravens (5), Chargers (5)

By the way, if you want to see your overall standing, visit post #948 in this thread.

I am at 125.3 with Engram (-6.7) :goodposting: By the way, Engram is missing from the list above of MNF players...

Happily Surprised that it is at 117.30 - thought it would be higher.......

What do we think it ends up after tonight? I am guessing 126, no higher than 132... ( I hope says the "137 and for practical purposes done for the week owner")

I probabley done with approx 110 and just J Brown to go. I needed a big game from one of four RB -Parker, Lynch, Mcgahee or Foster. Se you next year....

As I predicted the #1 team didn't survive the cut. 90.6 with no on to go. Not anticipating bye weeks for Coles, Brady, Welker and Stallworth killed him.

According to Doug's numbers, close to 40% of the remaining 2300 teams had Brady. How many of those 920 people got bounced this week?

I'm currently sitting at just 125.8 and done, so I'll be sitting on the bubble whether I go on or get booted. Right now, I'm just hoping for an ugly offensive game tonight. Meaning, lots of short runs and incomplete passes, complimented with lots and lots of punting.

Hopefully every one besides me. I think I sneak by with 133.15 thanks to Favre. Me and a lot of others are screwed if ADP is out for any length though.

Nevermind found it.

Page 14 - Post 679 for those that want to calculate your score.

In with 165.7, should be good enough to move on. Special thank you to Mr.Jackson, Mr.Wayne, Mr.Sproles (SD Def), Mr.Berrian, & Mr.Crayton.

I have a question...

On the contest rules, it states, "From week 14 through week 16, the top 250 teams will score points each week. The winner will be the team that accumulates the most total points in these 3 weeks. All 250 teams that advance to the final will have their scores reset so only the results from weeks 14 through 16 will count."

I understand we are talking about the total score of weeks 14, 15, and 16. But are we talking about the combined score of all 22 roster spots, or just your best lineup each week (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex, K, D)?

I assume it is just your best lineup each week, but am not 100% sure. If it happens to be all 22 roster spots, then the teams that chose the most QB's will have a huge advantage, because they are the highest scorers (the top 5 QB's average about 30 pts per game). And the teams that chose many K's and D's would be toast, considering the top ones average about 10 pts per game.

It's the same setup as last year (I made the finals, somehow, pretty sure I finished last of those that did) - the scoring is your best lineup each week just like each week of the season.

Your assumption is correct. I am 100% sure.Note the tiebreakers:

Ties in all rounds prior to the 250 cutoff will advance. For final standings, tiebreakers will be used for exact three week totals.

1st tiebreaker - Total points of all players rostered in weeks 14-16

Oops I missed MoMo also - he's on 3.0% of the remaining entries (fixed above)-QG

Just going to miss the cut... ouch.

And to think, I actually had Chester Taylor ready to be a major contributor from here on out.... might have been a big boost.

Doug Drinen's cut line prior to Monday Night Football and Final Cut score....

Week 1...No Cut

Week 2...126.15-------128.30

Week 3...124.20-------131.50

Week 4...101.70-------113.40

Week 5...90.85---------102.30

Week 6...113.05-------118.70

Week 7...118.45-------125.95

Week 8...112.90-------118.00

Week 9...133.20-------148.15

Week 10..117.30-------?????

Good luck to everybody who's on the fence this week (like me :hifive: )

REALLY worrying at 119.6 with Nate Burleson still to play. Man, I really need this week to be over. Problem is, my scores have gone down the last 3 weeks after placing #3 before that. Come on NATE !!! Be da man !

150.5 and done. Hopefully no explosion tonight in the rain and I'm scooting on along. I know all of y'all were worried about that.

I'm a little surprised there hasn't been a big ADP discussion here since the news broke today. Guess we don't know enough about how long he is out, but he was carrying a lot of teams (mine included.) Next week I'm sure we will see the disappearance of some potentially strong teams.

Man, I wish I had picked Taylor instead of the spares I put together at RB.

I have been lucky so far and stayed relatively injury free. I own ADP but fortunatly have Bush, Addai and Kevin Jones. It would be nice if ADP is only out for a couple weeks and comes back for the final weeks. Assuming of course I last that long.

He was only $23, so I doubt if he was any teams top dollar rb picked. Me along with many others still alive have been without $21 Cadillac Williams most of the year. Just depends on the other players on their team. I only have Jamal Lewis, DeShaun Foster, and Edgerrin James contributing, and am moving on to week 11.

i havent been too lucky at the rb position. before the contest started i thought i had good depth with s. jax, m. barber, caddilac , and ADP. unfortuneatly , my team has only had 2 backs for most of the season. i finally get s. jax back and lose the great ADP. it was alot easier making the cut early on without all my backs, now with ADP out, i dont see my team making much further.

I seem to recall that someone had put together a program to calculate the scores. Would someone kindly direct me to this link?

Thank you

For those who drafted ADP and have a few other good options, it may actually benefit you that ADP may be out a few weeks. One previous poster said he had Addai, Bush, KJ, and ADP. A team like this should actually root for ADP being out until week 14. No, I am not crazy here. Think about it - you could whittle down the percentage of ADP owners (like me), then get him back in time for a week 14-16 run. If ADP ends up out for the season, obviously this is bad news for all that drafted him. But, if he misses a few games, this could work out well for some. FWIW, I am screwed without him.

RB - Willis McGahee ($29), Adrian Peterson ($23), Cadillac Williams ($21), Ladell Betts ($14), Jerome Harrison ($2)

Jerome has only 2 weeks where he compiled any stats whatsoever (7.7 pts in week 6, 3.2 pts in week 8). Amazingly, I actually used his score both times (as my flex in 6 and my RB2 in 8). Jerome is averaging 6.8YPC this year, but only has 13 carries. No other CLE RB is averaging more than 4.0YPC. Give Jerome a chance! Betts has been a starter for me only once, in week 5 when he was my RB2 and scored a mere 4 pts. He has looked terrible to me so far this year, averaging only 3.6YPC in his 57 carries. Portis may not be at full strength this year, but he is still at a 4.2YPC clip, and has looked way better than Betts.

FWIW as I know all of you are deeply concerned about my RB's the rest of the way.....

I have Peterson, FWP, MCCallister ( Done for Year), Morris, Hunt and Leonard. Looks Like I will need SA to stay on the shelf for a week or more and/or Jackson to be "rested" if I am going to continue on this quest.

According to my math I am sitting at 125.1. I have been relying on the awesome RB group of Travis Henry, DeShaun Foster, Fred Taylor, Adrian Peterson (Chicago), and Sammy Morris. I don't know how I have made it this far.
