FBG loses its Tremendous Upside: RIP friend (3 Viewers)

Dammit. Only 37. Seems like yesterday I was playing Gears of War with him and playing in the WIS leagues we have at the Baseball Forum.

This really puts things in perspective. I'm overweight and knocking on the door at 30. I don't think he was, but a friend dying so young because of heart issues is really scary.

Guys I have bad news. I'm so sorry to have to tell you all this.

We lost Sean today. He went into cardiac arrest about 45 min ago and could not be revived.

Let's hope he is at peace. God I hope there's another side where I can see him again.
Oh this is horrible news. I am so sorry to hear this.

RIP TU!

Played a fair bit of online poker with him, and he was always the one saying hi when he saw me online.

Sad day!

man, i'm freakin bummed. Need to dig through the Pearl Jam thread tonight and bump some old stories. We went to at least 4 or 5 shows together, often with other members from this board. Great times. He was definitely an MVP cornholer....smart and funny like others have mentioned.

Wow terrible news. One of the only people I've ever met in person from the board. What a good guy and I always enjoyed his postings.

RIP TU

RIP

Never met him in person, but always liked interacting with him in music and soccer threads. Always one of the wittiest, funniest posters around. Still have his phone number in my phone from the zillions of music drafts.

This one hurts. T&P to his family and friends, especially the ones in here who knew him far better than I ever did.

:(

Me, Zilla and Sean in a liquor store in northern Minnesota in 2012:

Zilla: two cases of beer?

Sean: two cases plus four select 6 packs should do it

Me: what about liquor?

Sean: do we plan on having people over?

Me: hello, lots of fat chicks up here

Zilla: we better get about five various bottles of booze then

Sean: and maybe some more beer

This was a three night stay, we had a years worth of booze. :lmao:

#### Sean, I'm really gonna miss you. Quirky, smart guy. Wish the Rangers would have gotten one more cup before you left.

Eta change year

The kind words mean so much. I can't read them right now, and of all places I heard the news while stuck on a ####### Tarmac going to LA. Don't know wtf to do. I can't help him but how can I just go on with a work trip? I'm literally just bursting into tears trying not to make the flight worse for anyone around me while our turn to take off awaits.

I'm sorry if this is babbling. It's not even hit me yet. Just can't be. Not like this. Not so soon. But right now it's me, a plane full of strangers confined to a silver bin, and you all.

PLEASE - Do right by your friends. Let them do right by you. Be there when they fail, and when they fall. Because a friend will be there for you, too.

No loss is easy. Death of any loved on hurts so much. Especially taken so damn soon.

A friend though... A best of friends, and someone who was the best of people... It's so much harder because while it saddens us to lose those in our family, a friend is a love and a bind we choose. Friends choose one another and make a choice to be there for each other.

And forever more the FFA has one lest friend, and those of us who were lucky enough to be Sean's friend have one gaping hole in our hearts and a tear in our collective soul.

I love you Sean. So many of us do and will, forever.

And as I wrote that ####### Wish You Were Here comes on.

There is one great big new angel above us and amongst us. Sleep well my friend.

Just ####### brutal. I haven't seen him in 4 years or so, but went to a decent number of Yankee and Knicks games with him. Just brutal.

One of my favorite stories of all time - had to be there, was freaking hilarious

sitting in airport now.

Just freaking great shows. You really have to look at both nights like one show in my opinion. I'm beat right now and i don't have the energy to write a bunch now....but just awesome vibe the whole weekend.
Made it back alive. Last night's show was unreal. Great meeting up with you guys for the tailgate. Good times. :banned:

Now it's back to reality.

Why is there no kent hrbeck pulling Gant off first base video on you tube?
Because that never happened!!
:lmao:

Just to set the scene for the others...Sunday afternoon tailgate scene was myself, TU, BeTheMatch, his buddy and BullDozer. AcerFC was hanging for a few but then went in early to catch some of the openers.

BTM, his buddy and BullDozier are all from Minnesota, so I mentioned that I was a Braves fan and I thought that 1991 World Series was the best one I've ever seen. Subject of Hrbek pulling Gant off of first came up....and by pulling Gant off of first, I mean basically suplexing Gant. And they all mentioned how when anyone in Minnesota brought it up everyone acts as if it never happens.

A few beers later, this guy with a Twins hat walks by us...I say "what about Hrbek pulling Gant off 1st base"...not missing a stride, the dude just keeps walking...says "never happened"...and keeps going on his way.

I was freaking dying.

One of the many stories we traded during the tailgate...really a good time :banned:

I'll go more in to the shows tomorrow
I really do find it hilarious that I can't find a clip of it on youtube. Only picspics
It was almost like we planted him or something. You can't make it up.

RIP Sean. You were a good friend to many here... Can't imagine the loss felt by those closer to you.

Hang in there Koya. PM if there's anything the WIS guys can do.

Very sorry to hear that. I met him once before a PJ concert. Very funny dude, the kind of guy I could just sit an listen to talk about anything and he'd be entertaining, funny, and intelligent all at the same time. RIP, Sean.

Damn.

Thoughts and prayers TUP

####. I just read the horrible news.

RIP TUP....... :(
