There are several possible reasons as to why Lee Suggs would not put up any stats this year...
1.) Possible release
2.) Possible Injury
3.) Possible Demotion
But by all accounts (blogger, news reports, forum news, etc.)- he seems to be back in shape and in competiton for backup duties to Droughns. Simply put, at this stage, to forecast him not to play at all this season seems a bit preposterous whether with the Bengals or another team (seems to me like he can be had cheap for teams that want to add depth- might even be able to push for a starting job). Perhaps an injury is imminent but to say that he wont play all season seems a bit much. Hell, he could put up great numbers elsewhere if traded- even as a backup.
Judging by the projections, it seems that Willie Green will recieve the lions-share (90 touches) of the remainder of touches that Droughns will not recieve. Willie is fresh off his 20 touch, 78 yard season- capped by a brilliant 48 yard effort against a tough opponent in Houston, and his strong showing has earned him 4.5x more touches this season
Jerome Harrison- highly touted here in training camp is limited to just 25 carries despite the FO coos.
Can anyone put this into perspective?
