LOL. I'm just looking to play in a league with switz after he turned down a chance to play in a local Charlotte league with us this year.

Switz never leaves his house. He's afraid that vandals might seize the opportunity to break in and destroy his Felix Jones shrine.

Sorry for the delay last night guys. I emailed Clayton my selections this morning as soon as I got up.

Tried to stay clear of Legacy and Twilight, they know my patterns by this point...I couldn't make it 6:00 Friday, would have liked a shot at Doods, but I'll settle for Clayton and Mr Yudkin...good luck boys.

Yeah there were a few guys I wanted to go up against, but my schedule didn't permit it. Saturday night was the only one that really worked for me. Hopefully I'll see them in round 3. Good luck to everyone.

Would things go a little faster if the next guy knew what Rymers choice was ?????

Than he might be able to put his choice and things might move along a little faster because the end will be the most difficult because that is where time restrictions will apply.

Good thing I am at the end and will just take whatever. Playing EBF would be fun. Playing in the same league with Bramel again for the 4th time would be okay also. :lmao:

:goodposting:

KDS = Kick Dat Stone?

Clayton has my choices. All are for Sat PM Drafts, as I have both a viewing/wake and a 40th B-Day party to attend on Friday (some combo, eh?)...otherwise, would have liked to draft in the early Friday League, not so much for the shot at Dodds, but due to all the slots still available to choose from. Oh well, it is what it is...

I had the 2nd to last choice in league 3, so I know that this is the order for that league:

League 3 (Saturday at 6:00 PM Eastern)Pick 1.01 - Andy DufresnePick 1.02 - David YudkinPick 1.03 - bryhammPick 1.04 - UnluckyPick 1.05 - Aaron Rudnicki Pick 1.06 - buck nakedPick 1.07 - LHUCKSPick 1.08 - Clayton GrayPick 1.09 - Ministry of PainPick 1.10 - RC94Pick 1.11 - nittany lion Pick 1.12 - Marc Faletti

Bah! I was hoping to get Rude and Unlucky in League 1. Oh...and you too Andy.

I already had that honor in 2005. Although I didn't win, I finished 3rd of 14 to your 14th of 14.

BTW - Why are we using third round reversal?

This is supposed to eliminate the percieved huge advantage that there as been in the past for the discrepencies in the value of the top picks. But it is still a contraversial theory that hasn't been proved to even things out. And even more confusing is that there really isn't a stand out player this year unlike most other years.

Adding the TRR give a huge advantage to the late round picks in this format this particular year. You can see this by the way the slots have been chosen.

I'm not asking for it to be changed. I'm just curious as to why it was chosen for this particular leg. Doesn't make sense to me to give such an advantage to draft slots which in turn starts us off on an uneven playign field.

Someday Nall will show you. His BMI is off the charts!

League 1 members: All in favor of starting the draft now, no time limit (but please try to pick promptly), and see how much we can get done in advance, please vote below.

Note: If we do not finish by Friday, 6PM, all remaining picks will be made at that time live.

ConstruxBoy

satch

elcohiba

crippler

David Baker

Switz

Bob Sacamano

David Dodds

BassNBrew

Idiot Boxer - In favor of starting draft

Andy Hicks

EBF - In favor of starting draft

Only strategy I had draft spot selection was looking for a soft spot in the order...

Pick 1.06 - Switz

Pick 1.07 - Bob Sacamano

Pick 1.08 - David Dodds

All leagues are set, and everyone should have received an invite via e-mail from MFL.

A few points:

1. There will not be a time-limit on each pick. We didn't use one in the first round, and most leagues ran smoothly and lasted about 4 hours.

2. We will not start drafting early. Many people would like to have some time to prepare and shouldn't be under pressure to draft at this time.

3. The 3RR was used to add another element of strategy. I'm not sure how this gives a huge advantage to the late picks.

Update: EBF trades his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd picks to move up and secure D. Williams.

Just so you know. I work on the weekends, I know others who do as well. Friday at 6PM was the only option that even vaguely fit my schedule. However, Friday from about 5PM-7PM I will be at a bar. I will be at a bar memorializing a friend of ours that died exactly 9 years ago on October 10th. We do it every year and this will be no different.

I appreciate that organizing this is a herculean task, however, I don't understand shutting down any discussion of starting early. If the 12 people in our league agree to start early, then why the #### shouldn't we be allowed to? We're not even allowed to discuss it. We're adults here. People can stand up on their own and say they'd prefer to have a live draft. They don't have to pick until they're ready, etc. No need for papa FBG's to step in and lay down the law.

I'll make other arrangements for the hour or so I won't be around, but don't fool yourself that the 'other options' that are available are suitable replacements and don't think that you're being fair, because in your attempts to be fair, you're being eminently unfair and unreasonably rigid.

Excellent. No problem then...I'm good.

Kudos to Clayton for pulling this mess together. Between this and coordinating ACORN voter registrations, I don't know when the guy sleeps.
