FDuel Week 11 (1 Viewer)

Havent played on FD since about halfway thru the season, maybe earlier, because I was busy. Did 10 contests today, mostly 50/50's including one $25 one (I usually just do $2 and $5). Went heavy on Alf Mo, DWill, Antonio, Jordy, MIA D, and Gonzo. I actually think I used Gonzo in every contest. TD 4 weeks in a row, only $5600, and most importantly likely his last game of his career. I think/hope Ryan will be targetting him all day.

For the $25 50/50 1pm only went with:

Dalton

Bell

DWill

Gordon

Antonio

Hunter

Gonzo

Tucker

PIT D

Lets go :towelwave:

Wish I used Knile more but I do have him in a few of my "important" contests. Much lower numbers than I expected.

Miami D is owned at an insane rate.

Buying out of Cutler. I was pretty heavy on Cutler and Foles (and Cam in my 1pms), but something just doesn't feel right about the Bears game to me. Between the weather and threat of being pulled in a must win game (or hurt if he's taking hits like last week) it's not worth the risk with all the contests I had him in. I'll go with my gut here. Pretty easy to get to Cam and Ben without major changes.
Hope you went more Ben than Cam. Carolina O has been putrid lately and Cam's numbers are way off lately with the lack of rushing.

First time I've ever lost on the 1pm games and lost big today at 0-4.

Fortunately I'm currently 16 and 1 across the rest of the slate with a lot of Foles, Orton, and McCoy left to go. Loaded up on Knile and Sea D.

  1. QB Russell Wilson Peyton Manning
  2. RB Zac Stacy Le'Veon Bell
  3. RB Eddie Lacy
  4. WR A.J. Green Deshawn Jackson
  5. WR Antonio Brown
  6. TE Zach Miller Marcedes Lewis
  7. FLEX Michael Crabtree Marvin Jones
  8. K Alex Henery
  9. DST Lions Titans
Made some last minute changes this morning.

Not a bad return playing in 10 man leagues on DK $1 entries.

Either in 1st or 2nd with Deshawn Jackson pending.

I built a $280 bankroll from $50 this year mainly playing 50/50s and Double ups. I pulled out $200 this week and am going all in with the remaining $80. Playing in more big Tourneys this week than I normally do so we will see how it goes and if I have any money left to play the playoffs if I feel like it.

Yeah, that didn't go well.

Big weekend for me. Not all settled yet but I'm going to profit somewhere between $300 and $1000 bucks on $450 wagered.

If I'd gone with JJ over Reuben Randle I would made huge bank. In going to kick myself about that for a few days. Duffman, where were you with the JJ tip? Probably would've swayed me. ;)

Last minute change. Didnt help me....got 2 points total from K/D

Looking like a very productive week for me. Shoulda went more Knile but I had him in some of the important contests. Cam was real solid...used him more than Ben. Lots of Foles...

Ended up doubling up. Curse you Reuben! Could've hit the front page in a big tourney had I gone JJ instead.

Past couple of weeks have been real good to me.

This continue into the playoffs?

Difference between a winning and losing week, a Nick Foles kneeldown.

Should have been a good week but I collected a bunch of donuts...Baldwin and LaFell to name a couple. Miami D was a killer too.

Time to prep for fantasy baseball season. :moneybag:
I'm sticking to football only
Me too, I plan to wager some decent money these next 2 weeks with only 4 games. I think there are better chances to hit the bigger tournaments. I did pretty well in week 17, hopefully some of you took my Brees and Peyton advice. I'm going to take a look now and let you guys know what I think a little later. Hoping to hear some feedback on players you like this week.

I'm liking dalton/green combo even though it's a bit expensive. Picking the right defense will be key as usual. Not sure if I should go cheaper with RB and try to get graham at TE.

Still not sure myself this week. Leaning towards springing for Bree's/Graham and one of the top 2 rbs, then filling out with cheaper guys.

After looking at everything here's what I came up with.....Quarterbacks- The only two QBs I'm playing are Dalton and Kaepernick. Dalton for obvious reasons: he dominates at home and is playing against a not so great San Diego defense. Kaepernick because he's played 2 games against Green Bay and lit them up both times.

Running backs- Every roster I have a combo of Shady and Gore or JC and Gore. I tried fitting Shady and JC on one team but it's not possible to get good value elsewhere.

Receivers- This was the toughest for me and I really don't feel that good about any wideout other than AJ. I do really like Boldin in week one he had a monster game against Green Bay. Some value plays I like Hilton, Marvin Jones, and Cooper.

Tight ends- I really only like the top 2 tight ends Vernon and Jimmy. For value I like Celek, Ertz, and Fleener.

Kicker- I have Vinateri on every single team.

Defense- I have Cincy on every single team. I feel they are the only safe option this week. They dominate at home plain and simple.

Good luck everyone let me know what you think.

I am not playing alternate lineups this week, too few games. Just gonna pick who I think are the winners and let it ride.

I like Kaep as the best QB choice for the $. Really need to save if you want Jimmy and a top RB.

Hard for me to not go with the Charles/McCoy combo mixed with some low $5000 WR's and Gates/Celek at TE. I am leaning Kaepernick at QB
I'd love to have both of them but I feel Gore is a pretty safe option and almost half the cost. It helps me get Vernon or Jimmy plus Cincy defense.

Well, I withdrew what had grown to 1500 and left the rest for a handful of games this weekend and next.

QB: Either Kaep or Brees everywhere

RB: Either McCoy or Charles, paired with Gore mostly, PThomas once I think

WR: Cheap guys, most expensive is Jordy Nelson. Lots of Lance Moore, Bowe (looks like he'll be past his concussion), Marvin Jones, TY, Crabtree, etc

TE: Pretty much exclusively Graham

K: Pretty much exclusively Graham

D: Mostly Cincy, a little bit KC

GL to all this weekend.

I was able to get shady, Charles, cincy and Vernon Davis but had to have Alex smith, Marvin jones, Hawkins and kenny stills at other positions

Those 4 will carry you. Alex Smith and Marvin Jones are decent as well. Hawkins and Stills likely won't produce much but they could get lucky.

I don't have the balls to do this. You need to get lucky and hit with Hawkins and Stills or you probably don't win imo. Zeros are tough to win with (although I managed to double up last week with Reuben Randel's 0 in most of my lineups).

I was high on Boldin and Kaep combo, but a bit worried about the cold...

Bump SF and GB D?
I feel the same. I loved Kap and Quan, but now I'm really reconsidering this due to the weather. -6 degrees for a high temperature is even a little cold for fantasy ice fishing. I may play them in one or two games just in case. Now I will load up on Dalton.

Sunday is going to be ~10 degrees and significant snow, FWIW.

I'd rather have Bowe, Hilton and GB over Hawkins, Stills, and Cincy.

Was all set to roll with a Kaep lineup and a Dalton lineup, which are similar to begin with, split between my contests. Now I'm thinking more and more about Luck and/or Smith. I don't want to overemphasize the weather as I tend to believe most people usually do just that and I don't always believe in it, but there won't be as much room for error this week.

For the first half of the season, I played mostly 50/50 and H2H match ups (between 20 and 40 contests ranging from $1 to $5) with around five $1 tournaments each week. Each week, I entered more tournaments and by week 8, I was almost doing nothing but the long shot tournaments. The reason for the shift, was mainly because the tournaments were more exciting and I was mostly just treading water playing in the low stakes 50/50 and H2H contests. I wasn't winning at a high enough percentage to make it worth my time.

The biggest thing I noticed from playing in all of those 50/50 and H2H match ups, was that I would occasionally hit for a really high score....but since it was just a 50/50 or H2H, it didn't really matter. A great score was equal to a slightly above average score...as long as you got in the money. I realized for me to make some real money at fanduel, that I needed to focus on the tournaments. I started entering more contests each week (between 10 and 20 per week ranging from $1 to $25 per tournament).

I ended up having 5 top 10 finishes with a 1st and 2nd place to my name. I played in 230 tournaments and cashed in 32 (14%)....Started the year at $200 and ended with 4k. My 1st place finish (week 8) in a $1 contest helped build my bankroll which allowed me to start entering more $25 games per week.

It was a very up and down season....I was all in at week 8. Without the big hit that week, I could have just as easily been at $0 instead of 4k.

I just thought I would share how I played out the season at fanduel. I would love to hear how some of you did and what was your path to get there.

I agree that the $25 tourneys can be real money makers. I beat the rake in 50/50s pretty consistantly though. I feel like I'm much better at being "pretty good" routinely than being "super excellent" occasionally. And anytime I cashed in a tourney I was usually kicking myself over a decision that, had I made the other way, would've resulted in a top 5 finish.

The 100 team leagues aren't bad either, I finished 2nd place in one. Only did a couple of those though.

:goodposting:
Agree, I didn't build a huge bank roll over the season, but I managed to pull out a couple hundred playing 50/50s and double ups. I did hit in a couple large tourneys but my lineups always seemed to be steady scorers but not enough to do well in the big tourneys.

Couple tourney lineups. Haven't entered any of these yet. Obviously extremely hit or miss, but I kinda like them both.

Dalton

Charles

Gore

Green

Bowe

Avery

Davis

Nugent

Saints

Foles

McCoy

BJGE

Desean

Bowe

Avery

Graham

Not a fan of pairing the QB with their defense in in a big tournament format. I haven't actually done any kind of analysis, but my guts says that it's generally unlikely that both will blow up in the same game. The Colts defense, for example, is a good play if they're really dominant on defense and/or if they happen to return a couple kicks for TDs or something, and neither of those seems conducive to a huge day out of Andrew Luck.

I have Brees in like 7 of my 9 contests.

I just can't see NOT doing that. Top QB against the 32nd pass defense. Its worth the money imo.

This week was weird in that we're limited to 4 games. For me, it broke down like this:

QB: Brees was far and away my favorite to score the most. Worth the expense rather than gamble on the other guys.

RB: McCoy and JC are both locks for good games. But Gore and Sproles are both good options coming much cheaper.

WR: No one feels like a total lock to me here. I tended to go cheap with upside guys in the 4900 to 5600 range with maybe 1 pricier guy mixed in.

TE: Graham and Davis only in my lineups

K: Depended on how much left. 5K on New Orleans kicker or Viniteri if I could swing it.

D: Cincy or KC
