For those that voted for Obama - how do you feel (1 Viewer)

Finless

Footballguy
about that vote today? Feel like you? Admit you were duped? That he's not at all who you thought he was? Nobel peace prize? please.

I bring this up because I don't see those same folks who were flying the retro, Soviet inspired, Shepard Fairey Obama posters, well flying those flags anymore.

Is this the change you were looking for? No difference between Bush or Obama...they're both reptiles.

Admit what you did.

Ignore the thread like they ignore the facts and their guilty conscience. Guys been at war since day one and about to march us into WWIII

I am disappointed in his performance. He has carried over some of Bush's policies and has not taken enough action on others.

I would not take back my votes. The alternative I still feel would have been worse

I'd vote the same way I did both times given the choices, but I've said since fairly early in term one that I wasn't thrilled with his leadership. That has more to do with domestic than foreign policy though. He ran in his first term on ramping up Afghanistan so I don't see how anyone can feel duped by that. He wrapped up Iraq and I'd say he's been fairly steady on Egypt and Syria. Until we rush headlong into a ground war without the consensus backing of the UN, I don't see the comparison with Bush.

I consider him to be the best president of my lifetime. I'm a liberal born during the Nixon administration so my only realistic choices are Carter, Clinton and Obama.

Were you a fan of Bush foreign policy? Because the Obama foreign policy has largely been the same. We left Iraq on the Bush timetable. He increased drone strikes and uses of those strikes well beyond Bush. Nothing has really changed with Gitmo or Afghanistan. Really- what substantial differences are there from Bush foreign policy? And I say that largely as a compliment to Obama- though I have gripes with Obama on foreign policy they are about the same as I did with Bush. He has not been as nearly as a trainwreck as I feared he would be though I think weak leadership/decision making has made both Libya and Syria worst than they needed to be but that is largely about degrees on two tough things to deal with.

I clearly remember mobs of of people. The collective thought and platform from which this slimy snake sprang was "change" a new day in America is dawning...an age of light and equality - where education and the people would be more important than the agenda of the machine. The blacks partying in the streets as if this was going to somehow be the end of the oppression they'd always lived with. People would have jobs, free health insurance for everyone.

This may go down as the worst decision our Country has ever made. The wolf in sheep's clothing. Reminds me of the devil coming out of nowhere with his silver tongued rhetoric not on fooling the masses on the outwardly but actually crawling into their hearts and souls making them believe for the first time in a decade that the people will have hope and Obama was going to spearhead this New golden age.

My posts havent changed a bit. I was saying this before he was voted in and was always accused of fishing. Guess I'm still fishing. Would like to just hear some of you guys say "yeah, he fooled me. I voted for a reptilian scum bag". We were warned about this man.

I consider him to be the best president of my lifetime. I'm a liberal born during the Nixon administration so my only realistic choices are Carter, Clinton and Obama.
I would take Clinton over Obama easily. Carter was obviously a complete failure and Obama is not that much better domestically.

I'm not horribly upset with how he's doing. And besides, now that I'm older than 35, I could be President if I wanted, so it would be pretty lame of me to complain about the president. If you have a problem with him, just run against him and show the world that you could do a better job. If not, ####.

If you split Bush's foreign policy into two distinct periods, and I've long been on record about this, I was fine with his latter stage foreign policy.

Clinton spent eight years in office doing pretty much nothing. If you're a liberal, the ACA puts Obama a tier or two above Clinton all by itself.

Why? You have to be pretty freakin' stupid to be "fooled" by any of these boobs these days.

So, take away the invasion and you are cool with Bush foreign policy? Ok, fair enough.

I'd like to hear some of you guys say "I don't like him, but I'm not going to rant and rave about it, or accuse him of ridiculous crap that I hear on Fox News."

I tried to warn you all. Over and over I would post about this loser.

Just say "Finless, you and Clifton and Jambi and Jim11 tried to warn us and we didn't ever take you seriously. You were right but what's more important is just how WRONG most of us were."

I'll never forget that night he was voted in. The celebration in the streets. All those young "free thinkers" and liberals, college kids, liberals, older nerdy "we been waiting for this since Kennedy was shot" types all together rallying, partying, crying all in celebration of the serpent. I knew that was one of the worst days our country had ever seen.

May not seem like it now, but wait. And when I make claims about what's going to happen, my track record is pretty spot on. Most interesting time to be alive buy things are going to get very colorful. Start buying hard silver. Having a certificate stating you own gold will be as worthless as the paper its printed on. We're entering end times.

I don't have a need to stockpile weapons so it's no issue to me. I own a few guns, that's all I need for the Zombie Apocalypse.

More or less. Of course that multi-trillion dollar war is far and away the biggest part of Bush's foreign policy legacy. The fact that he did well handling North Korea is barely going to be a footnote.

Give the liberals and radicals a little taste. Some crumbs that fall off the table - gay marriage? sure give it to them. whats the difference? besides the neo-cons who just think its wrong the only real downside is insuring a like partner and what the potential cost that will be to the large insurance companies. We've studied that and figured out those who are working and receiving company benefits generally are not part of the populace that engages in these "risky behaviors" that will make premiums skyrocket. Let's give them weed as well, they're smoking it any ways and so am I....sheeiit.

Weapons of mass destruction - please. Chemical weapons - please. War is war. People get killed. A death is a death. Does it matter to the dead guy how he died? And if we are so concerned about those that don't die and the long term effects why have we ignored our soldiers who have been returning to the states for over 40 years with life long lasting ailments that were a direct result of chemicals we use?

welcome to the recovery :bag:
A few positive bumps here and there, but overall this puppy is heading down for the next 20 years... And that is regardless of who is president. The baby boom gave us great 80's and 90's, and now we deal with the opposite effect for a couple decades. That doesn't mean we're headed for a crash like the Peter Schiffs and Jim Rogers of the world say we are.

However, if Obama does something stupid like lead us into World War III, then yes, this puppy is heading for a crash.

Here's the problem....had Romney been elected, the only thing that changes is the person saying "I told you so"...what's the point?

I think that's impossible. Note Fins' rant - it has all of the Fox News trademarks: wolf in sheeps clothing, blacks partying in the streets, free healthcare for all, and most importantly "BUY PRECIOUS METALS!!!!"

If all you see since 2009 is "a few positive bumps here and there", I'd hate to see the pimples on your ###.

I didn't vote for him the second time because I pretty much knew he would be ineffective based on the racist old republicans in congress refusing to cooperate with a black man. This will probably be the first war military action the same republicans will be against. Usually they are all for going out and kicking ### with our 18 and 19 year old sons and daughters.

To be fair, most of us just saw it as an easy opportunity to get laid.

Why do people keep saying this? It seems that most Republicans are in favor of some type of action in Syria.

Maybe........ if it drives the point home.

If it wasn't for the stimulus and Obamacare, I probably wouldn't have that much to complain about with Obama. He basically hasn't done much and that's exactly what I thought we needed coming out of the financial collapse. I did think we needed someone like Romney in 2012 to start moving forward and get the economy going but it's on Obama now. If this slow recovery continues, he should get the credit he deserves. If we fall back into another recession, he should get the criticism he'll likely get for his lack of action.

I abhor Fox news. I turn the TV on once a week to watch Breaking Bad. I listen to Sports Radio all day in my truck. Aside from that I listen to music, all day. I liked Romney better than Obama but Im clearly on the record as a Paul supporter.

The printed cash has finally leaked its way into our economy, were going to witness inflation on a level that's never been seen before. This was carefully orchestrated over the last decade. The dollar will crash as well as the housing market. Yeah its booming guys. My real estate friends keep telling me that. "Get your license and come work for me". Uh....no. The world's most trusted investors have pulled out of all traditional American blue chip stocks and pretty much everything else dependant on a stable American economy. We're playing the same game - time to create a war fellas. Well what's on the table? We still got the current war which hasn't been as profitiable nor as popular as we intended. North Korea's still out there but its not the same without our buddy, The Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il. We still have Iran which when weighed against Syria just has more potential for an all out apocalypse.

I'm right, folks. I'm smarter than most of you as well and I'm not a parrot.

1) GDP is a result of the inflation rate... which I think is bogusly reported

2) I'm far more concerned with average household income, than GDP, stocks, home prices, etc, etc... which has dropped for four straight years. I see the rich getting rich, and the poor getting poorer. The rich s assets get more and more valuable, while the poor earn less and less.

But continue on with your smarmy "look at this number" shtick. I expect nothing less of an Obama evangelist.
