Forte misses Bears practice again Thursday (1 Viewer)

Matt Forte (toe) was held out of Bears practice Thursday.

Due to the often unpredictable nature of Forte's injury, this is becoming a major concern. The Bears have seemed confident that Forte will face Green Bay, but he wasn't at full speed after injuring the toe in Week 15 and hasn't practiced yet this week. Check back Friday for an update. If Forte sits out Monday night, Kevin Jones and Adrian Peterson would likely share carries. Dec. 18 - 2:41 pm et

He came back in but only had 9 more carries. Then with the game on the line (late 4th & all of OT) Peterson was in. I have to choose between Forte and L. Moore (my oppenent has Brees) and if Forte plays it's not even close. But if i gamble and Forte sits I get a big 0. I hope he practices Fri. UGH

I'm planning on playing Forte but will feel pretty stupid if he ends up sitting the game out because I'm choosing Forte over Ronnie Brown and Chris Johnson.

From Rotoworld-

Bears coach Lovie Smith promised Thursday that Matt Forte (toe) will practice on Friday and be available Monday night against Green Bay.Smith says Forte was simply given the day off Thursday in an effort to get him fresh. Check back Friday to see if Forte is listed as questionable or probable, but clearly the Bears are confident that he's going to play. Fantasy owners can pencil him into their lineups. The Packers' run defense ranks 26th in the NFL and has yielded 18 rushing TDs, third most in the NFC.

Matt Forte (toe) returned to the Bears' practice field Friday.

Coach Lovie Smith promised that this would happen and the Bears are still counting on Forte to face Green Bay on Monday Night Football. His owners can grab Adrian Peterson as insurance, but Forte should be in lineups.

Any chance Forte sits if the Bears are eliminated from the playoffs??
No chance. Lovie knows that beating the Packers will give him slack the following week and potentially beyond that. He will play whoever gives him best chance to win.

per rotoworld....

Matt Forte (toe, questionable) practiced again Saturday.

He's fully expected to start on Monday Night Football and is worth waiting for. Temperature could be around ten degrees at gametime, so the running game will have to be a big factor.
