Irvin would make a tremendous WR coach, I have no doubt. Problem is he has such a cushy NFLN studio gig, he wouldn't pass that up. But, I too was captivated by that entire video. Great stuff and puts a real-world picture on how to play that physical brand of WR. Tho...I can understand the reluctance of making those sharp cuts on the comeback routes. I know Irvin assured those guys they're not going to bust their knees, but damn...I'd be a little concerned.Anyway, back to Waldman. Genius. I don't know what the RSP is going for this year, but whatever it is, he's not charging enough.

you are right about Irvin, i was thinking the same thing about his coaching ability - it surprises me that he is not driven to share what he is (obviously) passionate about with an NFL team . . .

Really appreciate the great feedback, everyone. I intend to continue doing these all year at the RSP Blog. After seven years of watching players for the RSP publication, I'm at the point where it just makes sense to do this all year long and having the chance to share some of these things in a blog dovetails nicely with the research.
