I always look at this map for reference.They're cutting through the islands (Smoking Sea) on the bottom right, just west of the Red Waste. Then heading NE to Meereen.

I think a timeline would be great. Jorah is banished but ends up very far away from Dany the next time we see him. How long in between his banishment and his chance meeting with Tyrion took place? Now, he's presumably traveling a different way, shorter way, back to where Dany is in Mereen. How long is the trip back?

How far away in distance and time is Sansa from Jon? She's heard a lot of things but hasn't heard that Jon is still alive? Arya is off the map, no one has seen her... ta da... except the fricken knight lady who killed The Hound. She has talked to Sansa since seeing Arya and she didn't think to tell Lady Sansa that her sister was seen alive not to long ago?

Bran is off the beaten path and in hiding so he is rightfully presumed dead. Arya hasn't been in contact with anyone but where are they in relation to each other and over what time frame are we taking here?

It is pretty irrelevant. The joy is in the journey, sit back and enjoy both stories, and the various meandering paths they take to (as far as we know) the same destination.

I read it willingly. I knew it was through the season. Like I said previously, spoilers don't bother me that much. I enjoy the ride as much as the destination so I have no complaints that there are spoilers at all. I've read most of the book thread for the most part as well since I discovered the show.

The actual spoiler itself is what bothered me because of what it is - but I can't specifically say why without spoiling it for everyone else.

Overall though, people need to relax on this show and with books and spoilers and coming soon videos and all that. It's the age we live in. You have the choice not to be spoiled by simply not going to website, link or video about the show in any way shape or form. If you seek out any information on the show at all, you simply do so at your own risk. YMMV. And so on. No biggie to me. You can make a case that knowing the spoilers and knowing what happens in the books can actually increase the enjoyment of the show because you can focus on deeper things than simply watching and waiting for what happens next. If you know a book character exists but isn't in the show, can you figure out how they are using the story of that character if at all? If someone died in either medium that didn't die in the other, how will the show work with that and so on. And the fact that it is moving away from the books so clearly at this point is probably a good thing. Or not. Again, YMMV.

I do agree with Yankee23Fan that we take risks reading these articles, but most have been very good about alerting readers that it's a book spoiler vs TV. And while I also agree that there are other ways to enjoy this show if you know what's coming, I personally enjoy not knowing what's happening and being shocked by it when it does happen. Ultimately, I'll need to curb my reading if I want to continue to enjoy the show in this manner.
