Game Thread W12: New Orleans @ New York Jets (1 Viewer)

Anybody know if Kerry Rhodes is out of the game? He has 4-1 tackles but I haven't seen him in the secondary.

He is still in there. I think Washington took his spot on that sack though. Sucks...it should have been Rhodes.

Thanks, I keep looking for him and miss him. Not sure of his number

Brooks is 17/23, 181 yards, 3 TD/ 0 INT; 139.9 QBrating against the 3rd best team in QBrating allowed.He's had about five excellent scrambles to avoid sacks, made a ton of smart decisions, and has had great accuracy and zip on nearly all his passes.

Really impressed with him today, for a guy that gets a ton of criticism.

He gets criticized because the guy has games as good as this. And then next week will come out and throw 3 INTs and also have a fumble or two.

Two reasons -- they are playing the JETS, who aren't exactly a juggernaut, and also because Brooks has consistently been inconsistent throughout his career. He has a few excellent games every year, and a lot of bad bad games. One of the most frustrating fantasy QBs out there. In the NFL... well, he's still very inconsistent. Can't always count on him..

I'm not sure I agree with either of those comments.Brooks has been extremely consistent from year to year, and had a TD in 21 of 22 straight games between the end of 2003 and the entire 2004 season.

Also, the Jets D has been very good against the pass.

 
Did you guys hear this one after the Jets last field goal by Mike Patrick?"the Saints have now allowed a score in the last 17 quarters...they just can't get the floodgates closed"Floodgates? New Orleans....unintentional, I'm sure. but...Ugh. :X

 
Big play here.If the Jets stop them for no gain or a loss, the Saints might choose to pass on 3rd down and stop the clock again. That could give the Jets the ball back with about 1:45 to go.Obviously a Saints first down just about ends this one.

i don't care two bits about this game but I said the same thing....hate to see a team lose like that. especially one so badly in need of a win.
 
Note to all NFL GMs: Do not waste a day 1 draft pick on a kicker. Ever.

He's missed 5 field goals on the year, now including a game-loser. They could have found a free agent kicker to do that. (Heck, they already had a kicker to do that).
