great question. just saw the highlight during the Giants game
He fumbled it right side up... and he was trying to grab it as he went to the ground. But he never had full possession of it. The Bears defender had an "arm bar" so to speak. Seperating the ball from Slaton having possesion.
You know what I mean.
He fumbled the ball, never got possession back before going to the ground. Close call, no clue how the officials got it right at first glance.

I won't get started on the Packers woesPathetic is the one word that comes to mind when thinking about going out this way. 
Sadly, the Bears will most likely not acquire any decent free agents in the offseason and cease to make improvements yet again.
